Posting for help in finding a "lost" object!
This item has been missing since I moved into my house in 2003. Every now and again I think of it and do a search. It's something especially dear to me, and I'm too weak to spend much time searching. Any insights will be appreciated. It's a small heart shaped trinket box about3 inches in diameter. It's white china with a crackled finish, and some delicate pink hearts on the lid. The box was a gift from my youngest daughter for Mother's day (before my husband passed) Inside I kept a ring that he gave me with a jade, opal, and coral stone....as well as an 18 carat gold "box link" chain with matching ankle bracelet. the 18 ' chain had a broken clasp, and held my small diamond heart shaped pendant that he gave me as well. I kept these with me while my furniture was in storage for a month while I waited for the seller of my house to find an apt. after our closing(long story). I stayed at my daughters house in her guest room, and had my van packed to the brim with all of my clothing and personal items too precious to chance putting in storage. The things that were in boxes went into their attic and my clothes, and dry goods (foods) went into their pantry and into a special portable wardrobe I bought because of their lack of closet space. In the guest bedroom I had my luggage set Some packed with clothes...and on the dresser I had my jewelry box and this Small trinket box I'm now missing. It HAS to be somewhere in this house. I've searched through every box, piece of luggage, makeup case. pocket book and anything else that traveled here with me from her house. IT'S GONE !!! If you guys get any hits on it let me know. I have the distinct impression that it's somewhere in my walk in closet but can't figure where. All of my bedroom furniture was in storage, and I no longer have my Van. (I tore that apart searching before I surrendered it to GMAC! I'd love to find them while I'm still alive to do so!!

1. Do you have a bench/seat in that closet?
The first thing I got a glimpse of when I asked was a seat with a removable cushion. The impression didn't stay with me long so, I'm not positive it's accurate. I also caught a quick glimpse of a swan. Do either of these mean anything to you?

2. I have a bench to my Mom's vanity set....
in there, but it doen't have a removeable cushion. It is part of a suite of 1940's "art deco" style bedroom furniture that belonged to my Mom and Dad when I was little. The cushion has been recovered by me to match the rest of my decor. I'll look under and around it, but it was amongst the rest of the furniture that was in storage for a month. I moved in here about a week before it was delivered, so that I could paint and hang curtains ahead of the "big move". I slept on an air mattress in front of the great room fireplace, borrowed my daughters small TV, and sat on those cheap white plastic outdoor chairs. There is no swan in my house,of any sort. I had the things with me that were in my Van and in Kirsties house. I know that they were on the dresser in her guest room along with my alarm clock. I remember packing them in something...I thought one of my luggage set (5 pcs.) but they seem to have just disappeared. As soon as my furniture was delivered, I unpacked all of the stuff I had in boxes in the closet and the van.I plan on having my homemaker help me clean out that closet this fall. It's huge and I have stuff in there that shouldn't be (Xmas decorations et al) Time to give away my fat clothes to Goodwill too. Maybe I'll come across them then????

3. Sorry Sweetie
I didn't really trust that -- allergy medicine makes me kind of loopy, and my channels get blocked (sinuses open, channels closed -- sigh). I'll keep asking, and see what I get while I'm off the meds.

4. Thanks for trying!
They've been gone this long...so what's a little bit longer? I'm having trouble typing this evening...did something to my pinky on my left hand this AM. Pushed back on the arms of my recliner and felt a "pop" It's not out of joint, but sore as hell...tendons I think. No swelling, but it's hot. I put some Ice on it after it happened, but per usual for me...I keep hitting it on things and hurting it more!! Hoping tomorrow is a better day! Nite nite!
