The Money Thread worked for me!
Did anyone else receive something unexpectedly?

We got a check for overpayment of our mortgage escrow, and it's just enough to pay for some Yule gifts and a new tire for my daughter's car.

All I can say is WOW, and thank Blue Iris for starting this. (and of course, the Goddess!)

1. As a matter of fact, it did--and then...
We finally received a $500 reimbursement from Saab for a defect that was a belated recall (we had already fixed it). It was so long ago (two years?) that we had just absorbed the cost and forgot about the payout.

*Sigh* and then Mr. MG went and bought a new TV with it. A TV we didn't really need. :banghead:

16. Would you believe it if I said no?
He's not a sports fan (thank the Maker, because neither am I) but he IS a gamer. So he and MG Jr. get to play Need for Speed Most Wanted and Star Wars Force Unleashed I and II and all their other favorite games in high def. Now...does mama get to watch her "stories" in high def? Hey-ull no. TV's always occupied by the Xbox crew! So I watch a lot of Hulu on my laptop. :P

19. Whether it's live games (sports) or computer games,
seems like it's all the same to me.

What you need is something I saw yesterday: a remote-controlled HDMI-cable switch. You just keep the remote so you can switch the input to the TV from the game-box to the DVD or cable box }(

3. Wow, congrats LiberalEsto and MG!!!
That IS wonderful! :bounce:

Nothing on this end yet as far as money coming in; more than expected going out, unfortunately, due to daughter's senior year expenses (it's sheer madness, I tell ya!). :(

But, hey, miracles can manifest at any moment!

that sometimes I think maybe my burst of creativity to finish my novel is part of it. Maybe I'll actually get paid for it? Maybe?

6. Yep -- worked for me
The day after I posted my intention, I got 3 new clients, and a payment from another client that I was not expecting until some time around the end of December.

Maybe we need to do another thread for December?

13. I listen to HayHouse Radio,
more often than in the past, so I'm getting more exposure to these positive thoughts, concepts and affirmations, although the latter mostly from Alison Kelly's old shows on ContactTalkRadio ;)

I feel better about myself and my outlook, including money flow. You might give them a listen, even just for a week, and only to those hosts that resonate with you. I certainly don't listen to them all. But there's something for everyone there :D

21. Yes, I did receive something unexpectedly...
a bill for $3153. Turns out my insurance company is not going to cover an ER visit for my daughter from February of this year. :(

But I'm happy you had some good fortune! :hi:

I hope you can appeal that.

I also hope you receive blessings that will help you cover this bill, if necessaryy, and leave you with a nice sum left over.

And then try to negotiate small payments over a given time period.

I definitely don't want to just hand over 3K! I'm hoping I can talk the ER down to a more reasonable amount. We'll see.

32. UPDATE: It is to larf (really)
I got money. MG Jr. attended the holiday market at his school today (where kids can buy presents for family members on their own). As he's 7, he told me what my present will be (and that's okay). Ready? It's a pillow that looks like a hundred dollar bill. I asked him why he chose that for my Christmas present out of all the stuff at the market (Mr. MG is getting a "great dad" mug), and he said he didn't know--he just felt like I should have it.
