I was following Catherina's tweet threads last night until I just couldn't hold my eyes open any longer (which was about 5:30 AM pacific time). The FEELING I got from reading this -- the voice of the People, live, real-time, unedited -- was just incredible. The building momentum was something I could FEEL deep in my bones. I was, and am, totally in awe.

Just think... This was the first time in the history of humanity that the entire world was witness to a revolution of the people (a largely peaceful revolution) LIVE, real-time. Technology played a HUGE part in this, IMO. We were all linked with the people of Egypt in a way we had never been before with any people EVER. The power of all our minds focused on this revolution and willing the outcome for the good of all was so apparent to me. We were with them, we were witness, we were co-creators sending them our love, our admiration, lending them strength and hope. I do not mean to claim that we did this for them. We did NOT. THEY did this with their whole hearts, minds, and bodies. I am humbled by these courageous people. But we were WITH them in spirit in way never before possible. (I'd love to see what happened with the Princeton 'eggs' during all of this...)

Today, Gandhi and Marin Luther King are smiling on the world... THIS is the way, people.

I am overwhelmed.

So, is this a singular moment in time, or have things shifted in the world? Our ability to communicate instantly around the globe is unprecedented. The ability for people to speak to one another on a massive scale, without corporate or government intermediaries, is unprecedented. So, is this a game change?

I feel hopeful.
