The big question in the love game is “Could this be the ONE?“ There are a variety of compatibility test sites on the net and some astrology programs like Kepler cater for horoscope compatibility. So I was inspired to experiment with Café astrologys aspect ranking system. Could these tests be useful? They are objective after all and prevent your own love-sick bias from making a silk purse out of a sows ear.

I tried as many famous couples as I could find with an accurate birthtime and all the couples I knew personally. I wasn’t surprised Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward scored highly, but when I tried the others it all fell apart. Some really co-dependant and abusive relationships were ranking higher than John & Yoko. It didn’t make sense at all. After experimenting and stripping down the score I think I have come up with a formula that sorts out the wheat from the chaff.

I found the aspects that cut it time and time again are the classics. Forget your hyped-up outer planets, deluded Neptune and your karmic quincunxes. Space-dust and glitter! To find a rock solid, mutually supportive relationship that will weather the storms of modern life, I used Ptolemaic aspects and considering the following:

Tight orbs between the Luminaries/Saturn and the relationship planets, also Luminaries/Saturn to the destiny points and AC/DC. I also looked at the Sun/Moon midpoint and Luminaries in the 1st/7th house.

With inconjuncts in synastry karmically?
And what do you find in Sun/Moon midpts?

in my experience/POV they indicate parts of the relationship that tend to resist a necessary integration (depending on signs, houses, etc wher the action is) there is difficulty in making something 'whole, organic' natural connections in variety of areas that need attention for either one or both parties (or group energies)-often no attention is given to the unseen or the never expressed (too uncomfortable). I have had a couple of intense karmic relationships with inconjuncts present, they did not continue past a few years-and I was younger.
--Sun/Moon midpoints have a formidable presence/energy (I have much respect for the knowledge they can show/deliver at the meeting point for any relationship) in a relationship they are important to consider as to the stability and responsiveness of one/both parties and the third party: the relationship energy itself. Karmically (with a significant relationship) I would define them as 'unfinished business' between two people, some of the business can be a welcome renewal of connection (as a soul connection often is)and some/all can be setting the record straight and cleaning out the deceptions/misconceptions from previous events.
