3. so sweet of you
When I click on them from the web page it says "error on page". Weird. Are you using Windows Media? Anyone else here try to click on them?

Just took a sponge bath and feel pretty chipper now. :silly:

4. Okay, I see what you mean. I think they
are QuickTime players because the big Q flashed when I clicked them at the web page. I'm using Mozilla Firefox and noticed under Tools/Options QuickTime is enabled for certain dotextensions, as is Media Player for dotmpeg videos.

I'm sorry it is such pain when I intended the opposite.

6. success!!
I've seen the first one and thought it was really trippy, in a good way, of course. And I adore the music. Best music in a video like this in a long time. Thanks.

I am on my ancient laptop now. I do have a slight problem with my main computer.....Firefox doesn't work right for uploads, downloads, videos, etc. Something to do with Java. I've done the normal things to try to make it work in the past, but I need help. So I just went back to IE and for most everything that is satisfactory. I have Quicktime so I am not sure why IE wouldn't open it in that. Or is this a Microsoft thing?

I'm going to try my good computer again now to try to overcome these issues. Problem with this thing is I sort of had to watch it in two parts because this is so slow.

But it was pretty cheery! I was a bit afraid it would be a lecture or something but this was short and entirely up my alley. Very visual, creative, and great music. I'm going to try to figure out how to watch the second one on my better computer.

Thanks again.

8. Yes! But LOLOLOL...on thinking
they were lectures. How absolutely tortuous. My other older computer has the same Java or javascript problems with Firefox - someone told me I needed more memory. Hoping one of us who is a computer person can help :eyes:

16. impressive
I loved the Gray interview. Interesting about his 911 depiction ten years prior........

The second one grew on me. At first I wasn't in to it much, I guess because some of the work reminded me a bit of Thomas Kincade, but it won me over in the end.

Nice to know this is getting to be a regular Thursday feature!

17. I know! That 9/11 scene blew me away.
Yeah, Kincade is an unfavorite of mine - nothing against the man's work, I'm just not into his paintings. So I kind of bask in knowing that Inoue was painting his visions of Iblard long before Kincade.

I love how Grey says art is a language, one that I truly love to understand and share :)

As Salvador Dali said, "Bravo Venosa! Dali is pleased to see spiritual madness painted with such a fine technique." http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOmegaInstitute#p/u/134/oYIGy7u8l7Q and the little sad but literally uplifting "The Mantis Parable" at http://www.faerieconfessions.com/index.php/2010/12/12/the-mantis-parable/

19. A musical interlude: Playing for Change
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 03:56 AM by Kind of Blue
Moved to visit the website http://www.playingforchange.com/ last night to hear the song that sparked it all: Stand by Me. Then found a wonderful version of One Love and thought that's what I had been looking for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xjPODksI08

But Lo! Found one of the most sensuous music I've heard in a long time, not a song, just straight up music. And behold! It was not only posted on my birthday but the founder asked a West African group to play for him a Groove in G, and I knew why I was moved to visit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LQhamwJcVY
Let's get together and feel all right. Hope they move you, too! :grouphug: Silence! :)

:hi: I've made it a point to watch at least one of Celebration's videos after work. Her last one moved me to get up and move some more and Stand By Me came instantly to mind.
