Question about my emotions lately
Edited on Sun Dec-04-05 02:23 AM by FreedomAngel82
Hi all. Here's the thing. Lately I've been going up and down in my moods. I don't know why. I do have my monthly now but I've never had any problems with that before and I don't think it has to do with that. I'm just not that type of girl I guess. Anyways, but for the last week or so I've been really just wanting to bawl a lot lately and have been very sensitive with my feelings and some nights just bawl. My guardian (against negative spirits and the like) is also my soul mate (he decided to stay behind this time for my life lessons and all that) and I'm not sure if it has to do with him or not. Can anyone here help? Can you sense what's up with me and if my soul mate has any messages? It'd be much appreciated. Usually I can figure things out on my own and sense really well but when it's so personal I have a little harder trouble. Also wanted to add I think he's been popping out lately and that's why I'm down. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks in advanced.

1. Well, I'm not getting any impressions, (I'm not that kind of Taurus)
Edited on Sun Dec-04-05 05:24 PM by BlueIris
but you know what I personally have been forced to see lately? The connection between B-12 deficiency and emotional instability. How's your B-12? Have you been getting enough? You might want to look into that.

3. Well, for me, getting enough is important.
Just thought I'd pass that along. One reason I think I've been taking the bumps of life harder than necessary for the past couple of years is that I haven't been getting enough B-12. After three weeks of sufficient intake, I am much improved.

6. B-12 is one of the many B vitamins
Some populations are prone to b-12 deficiency. Deficiency is usually found in the elderly, but is also found with lesser frequency in younger white women of northern European ancestry. Vegans will often have a b-12 deficiency, because b-12 comes only from animal sources (meat, milk, eggs). It's my understanding that vegans can supplement with a regular b-12 vitamin, or a B complex supplement that contains B-12. Non-vegans who are deficient need a sublingual supplement (under the tongue), or regular injections.

I'm one of those non-vegan deficient ones. If you have any questions about B-12 deficiency, I'd be happy to answer them if I can.

7. Oh I don't think I have that problem
I eat plenty of meat and eggs. In fact yesterday I had quite a good bit of meat.

8. I'm a carnivore too.
You're probably right - you probably don't have a b-12 deficiency. But it is possible to be a meat eater and not elderly and still be deficient.

Something in our stomachs called "intrinsic factor" is lacking in people with this deficiency. This prevents us from absorbing B-12 fom what we eat. The deficiency takes a loooong time to develop, because the body will take the B-12 it needs from the liver. Only when the liver stores run out do symptoms of deficiency begin to appear. Advanced B-12 deficiency symptoms include depression, agitation, anxiety, unexplained fatigue, weakness, numbness/tingling of the extremities, burning tongue sensation, bleeding gums, racing heart, clumsiness.

Okay - unasked for lesson has ended!

Oh, and I hope you're feeling better too. Mood swings are exhausting.

10. Speaking of mood swings
I know I'm a moon child and moon children have big time mood swings. The feeling is more so loneliness and in my heart chakra area. I haven't had any of those symptoms. Of course I'm naturally a sorta clumsy person (I run into stuff off and on). When you see your doctor and they do a blood test on you wouldn't they pick this up?

12. B-12 isn't usually included in a CBC.
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 09:46 PM by Dora
It's rare enough that most doctors don't think to check on it. It's not a difficult or expensive test, but your doctor does need to specify to the lab to run a serum B12 test.

I'm a moon child too, and it feels like I've been surfing loneliness since forever. But I'm really working at that - trying to initiate personal connections, etc - and it seems to be fueling other positive motions.

Happy swinging.

9. Sometimes crying can be a very pleasant thing
-and helpful in releasing held in emotional pain, or unponderable yucky stuff from your body. If your crying alot gives you a good release, maybe it is nothing to worry about. But if it isn't feeling helpful, and if you are on edge, there could be some sort of physical problem. If B12 isn't needed, there could be other vitamins/minerals/supplements that might be needed by your body. Don't ask me what, I'm not that kind of a DUer. But if it isn't something physical, then you will probably have to wait it out, and see where it takes you.

11. Thanks
I don't feel that it has to do with me physiaclly. I'm always been a very emotional person so I guess it has to do with that. I appreciate all the replies and help. :grouphug:

13. Why do you wonder about mood swings?
You're trying to balance yourself between dealing with the low of the blatant and obscene corruption of this administration and so many other levels of government with the high of the excitement and enthusiasum of where you know your spiritual side is headed. Most of us paying attention to what's happening are going back and forth all the time, trying to balance it all out.

This country and world is currently going through hell, but it's coming to an abrupt end soon with wonderful things to follow. A lot of people are trying their damnest to avoid the current hell altogether, but eventually they won't be able to hide any longer. On the other hand, we're seeing everything unfold before our very eyes and most of us will need to be there for the sleepy heads when they wake up to the truth and totally freak out.

Go with the flow, understand why you're reacting and why it's perfectly normal to feel ups and downs, but don't ever let yourself go too far into depression. It's not worth it and hard to get out if you get too down. Keep yourself loving and bright and remember that you have an important role coming up soon. You'll want to be strong as you possibly can.

14. I have an important role to what?
I highly doubt that. I also keep lately getting shut out of places. I just joined this new Christian forum and really was enjoying it and getting along with people pretty well but out of nowhere I get banned. You're supposed to get so many warnings (seven) and I only had one and they claimed it was something with my attitude. I thought I was being nice to everybody. I'm just so tired and drained lately and so tired of my life and being lonely and just wish I could belong somewhere. But I don't so I know that has a role too. *sigh* :(

16. You fit in here, you're obiviously well read and intelligent
Edited on Thu Dec-08-05 06:47 PM by MissWaverly
Do you think you could have that seasonal affective disorder, my sister has it and she had
to get that light that simulates sunlight. She is ADHD, I don't know if you are as well.
But when the days get shorter and she's indoors more she starts to get very hyper. You
might look into one of those lights. As for the Christian group, I have tried that too but it didn't work because they were too controlling. Keep looking, you will find your niche.
I always like reading your posts because you have so much positive energy.

Not that there aren't nice Christians out there, but they aren't in control of the situation now.

21. Maybe the Chr forum wasn't right for you
in some way, otherwise they would've appreciated what you brought to share. I recently tried to join a video/camcorder forum online, and for some reason wasn't allowed to join. It can feel deflating to be ejected from a group, or not let into a group. I think that our daily lives are becoming more polarized, that things are less open than they used to be. My guess is, that you are much more liberal/progressive than most in the group, the chr forum, and that since you seem like such an open person, maybe they picked up on it. I'm sure you will find some good places to put your energy, though. DU seems like one good place, and maybe checking into lightworker groups, or spiritual groups that have a more global energy.

17. Well, for what it's worth, I noticed with myself
that a lot of my irrational "emotions" left when I went through menopause. You might want to keep a journal through your cycles marking as to how you are feeling at what time of the month.

I know you were looking for advice that was a little more spiritual, but sometimes segregating the biological first can help you with the spiritual.

19. Thanks for all the question's and/or advice
:) I appreciate it. I know I'm a very emotional person and always have been. I don't like rejection and things like that. I guess I was looking too hard for a place to "fit" in. I appreciate all the nice things said about me. Hopefully during the upcoming break I can get to reenergize.
