Healing prayers for my dog who was attacked by neighbor's dog today.
My Truman is in the hospital. He is a Wheaten Terrier and 11 yrs. old with an enlarged heart.
The neighbor had his dog loose and he ran over into our yard and attacked my dog in front of me. We did not see him. Truman bled all the way to the house and collapsed in my arms on the steps in pools of blood. Local Vet got him stable and walking. Took him to the other vet far away who deals with his heart issues. He is still loosing a little blood and he is keeping him overnight. If he has internal bleeding it is a risk at his age of 11 and with his heart.
Please think of him. He needs help and healing.
Thank you.

4. I'm seeing Truman healthy and well.
Please pay attention to his emotional state as the trauma is large within him. May I send a reassuring message to him? If it's okay with you, I'll also ask him of course.

I adore Wheaten Terriers and have long wanted to have one be a part of our family.

and trust in you. That's why he made the HUGE effort to get back to the house to you. He could have given up and laid down in the street, but he knew you would do everything you could to help him.

Is he still with us?

edited to add: He let me know you're the best two-legged he's ever known.

20. I don't know how. He is still loosing blood. Down to 31 now.
He has a tumor by his guy part and vet says maybe the thing is sucking up blood. If he goes down towards 25 he will have to have surgery and he is not a good candidate for that. I am just sick to my stomach. All I can see is blood. I am totally stressed out and worried about him. We will drive 40 miles one way to see him again today. I just pray he survives this. I am going to move asap. More determined now than ever. I don't want him to leave me.

26. thanks, got it!
What I can do is use touch for health points to strengthen the heart meridian. I'll do that tonight. Not sure with dogs, but people who are hospitalized often seem to need those. I'll also run the program tomorrow morning. Anyone going into or coming out of surgery should make sure the heart meridian is not weak. I'll also be praying for Truman.

I hope your neighbor is taking responsibility for their nasty tempered dog!

Such an awful experience, I can't imagine, I would be freaking out and possibly in jail for doing something to the neighbor! You are doing much better than I would be. Pets are family in every way.

Love for Truman...

28. Vet called. Had scheduled surgery for 5:30 but Paxil? went up from 28 to 30
and the Vet was overjoyed.
He has stopped surgery and is now closed unfortunately but wants to take the count in the morning and if at 30 or higher, he will come home.
I am in tears. He should not go this way.He deserves a peaceful death at the end.
We drove to see him and it went up. I can feel your energy. Please keep helping. I am still nervous but vet was happy.
Thank you. Thank you.

now home resting. I cooked him a whole beef liver steak and gave him half of a p-nut butter cookie. His favorite.
He is low low low energy. Very bruised on his underside "tumor". That is another whole issue I will not go into and am mad at the Vet but the vet waived half of the charges.
We are to watch him and bring him back in 7-14 days to check his blood and check his abdomen which he thinks there might be something wrong or even damaged. Maybe a problem that was made worse by the blow to his body. The dog that attacked him was a Chesapeake.
The neighbor has been hiding.
Husband will have to go talk to him and give him a copy of the bill which might not be complete.
Any suggestions as to how to deal with this would help. He has anger problems, owns guns, wife just left him, had a huge huge Palin sign during the election. Size of billboard. Stole our Franken sign.
Do we need a witness to deliver the bill? A lawyer?
I do not want the dogs put down. I think they think our yard is their yard since there is no fence there. The owner does not see anything wrong with his dog's behavior. THey are actually nice dogs but he says his dog is playing. Yeah right..... Bad owner, good dog syndrome.
I now fear walking in my own yard. Have to figure if I need a bullhorn, bear spray or just take my wolf-neufie cross out with me for protection.

I know we all wish for his continued improvement.

As for the neighbor, I think at first I would be as nice as possible and see what happens. (And make sure that whatever you give him is a copy and that everything that happened is documented. I wouldn't get a lawyer unless you truly need one, but I would document everything in case you do need legal assistance in the future.)

...and then I'd put up a fence!

36. We cannot afford a fence. We already have a separate fenced back run and
another fenced area. It is time he puts up a fence. We have an acre and we walk it.
You validate my hunch of approaching it in a non-legle way first.
I don't know if any neighbor's saw or heard me screaming... but I shot pics of all of the blood on the grass and all the way to the house as well as the perspective of his house to the attack.
The vet will vouch for what he treated. He just saw our dog for heart problems and knows this is traumatic for all.
I am not giving him all copies of the pics. Just one I think. But I will give him the vet copies of the bills as well as milage, etc....
Unfortunately, if there is more internal damage that we find out, his bill will increase.
