I have a Pluto trine Venus transit approaching.

According to a recent reading, this trine will be affecting me from early January of this year until September of '07. Yikers! I have no idea what to expect, if anything during this apparently fortunate time. Googling indicates that while it isn't always a time to expect a new relationship to appear and flourish, this is a strong possibility. I doubt this will happen, so I'm choosing to see it as a time when my interest in my art will flourish, after a much-needed resurgence. The only reason I'm posting is to get feedback from anyone else has ever experienced a trine of this nature. Was it--interesting? It sounds pretty great, which would be nice, since "great" is not the term I would use to describe my life throughout the last several years.

just a reminder that trine doesn't say if it's good or bad. It just describes the angle, the lack of resistance in the flow of energy.

In part I say that because you were concerned about squares in the other thread. Squares aren't good or bad either. The energy is more of a bump in a square, but that's what moves you into action.

If there is a relationship there might be a sense of obsession. Pluto likes that.

Pluto loves transformation so anything Venus related may come out transformed, even just what you are drawn to in general.

I am a fan of Pluto. Most transits with it have been conjunctions. It stationed exactly on my Venus to the very minute for a couple weeks and yes, that was very interesting.

I see when it trined my Moon I got pregnant. I was transformed!

Other trines it is hard to tell the effect, because it was always conjunct something else as it was trining the other.

Open to the energy and enjoy the flow. Pluto is pretty hard to boss around.

I'm curious if anyone can think of any downsides to this transit. The truth is, everything in my chart looks positive throughout the next two years--which is bizarre to me, since there aren't that many ways for my life to become as positive as these transits are indicating. I know, I know, astrology is by no means a precise predictor of what will happen, only what sort of energy may drive us through the next phase of our lives. Pluto trine Venus, when I haven't, and won't, be giving a shit about anything having to do with Venus ever again as far as I can see, is inexplicable.

but I'm interested in knowing if anyone can think up any drawbacks or unexpected developments I should watch out for with regard to this influence. It's wigging me out. There are no romantic relationships in my future. Most of my existing relationships are (by personal choice) limited (I'm concentrating on my own development at the moment). A revitalization of my creative abilities would be great, and I guess that's a more likely possibility. What I'm wondering is whether anyone has any ideas about how the lesser known and lesser appreciated qualities of Pluto and Venus could impact my life during this transit. Without going into two many other details, the rest of my astrological future during this time is quite positive.

More money--from nowhere. More sexual interest (sorta, not really expecting much in that department)--also from nowhere. Not much more interest in relationships or art (though I'm really trying to reinvest in my interest there, passion or not) on my part but--people are suddenly flirting with me like never before. That's actually not...exactly what I want right now, yet I do think it's funny. I was propositioned by a complete stranger the other night--once again, out of nowhere.

One alarming addendum to my OP--this transit is actually in my chart until the end of November 2007. That just seems like an awfully long time to have Pluto hanging over your head, no matter how favorable the effects.
