What is evil?

I was thinking about the entire last 5 years and started to think about evil. Does anyone have an opinion about this? Are we dealing with low level evil, high level evil or is it really evil at all?

There are so many ways to look at what has been happening:
Absence of light.
Bringing the darkness to light.
Bush just playing out mass consciousness as we evolve.
Our own perceptions.
Our opportunity to see what not to be.
Labor pains that will lead to a new creation.

On one hand I think that we are inundated with evil and on the other I think we only see what is in us to start with and then my mind runs the gamut of everything in between. How do others deal with this issue? Does anyone else have an idea, opinion or thought about this?

Also, what is the highest level of good that we can do to turn this around? I truly believe it will be up to the light workers. As an example; If we use the best of ourselves to send the highest truth (love and light) would that work better to heal the planet than mid level thoughts such as the intent to wake others up?

I learned a lot from that, including a number of things which really surprised me. Evil is very common. Evil is stupid. Good people can start giving into, supporting, rationalizing and participating in evil pretty much any old time, provided they have the proper motivation, under the right circumstances.
