OWS predictions?

Will anything come of this? Will it dissipate without changing anything?
What's this weekend going to be like with Bloomberg kicking everyone out of Liberty Plaza and not allowing sleeping bags, tarps, etc back?

Based on a recent reading.

Something significantly good will happen this weekend *because* of Bloomberg's little ploy to shut things down. There will be a number of new groups coming out to combine their numbers in solidarity. Many people there will be ready to make a personal sacrifice to hold their ground. I don't see any violence, but large numbers of very determined people will move this to a new level where OWS will be seen as having mastery of the situation. Possibly lots of mostly favorable press.

I've been watching the live stream of the Occupy Denver early morning arrests; when the news station cuts away and covers other news from the studio, the reporter on scene finally shuts the hell up and it's essentially a raw feed. And I love listening to what the protesters are saying to the line of police facing them (in their riot gear sheesh). One guy said something like "Your days are numbered--there are going to be budget cuts and then you'll lose your job, and then what?"

And that made me think that perhaps the ultimate tipping point in the Occupy revolution is going to happen when the police cross the line and join them.

I hope so. I will make that a major image in my visualization.

In every confrontation like this, when the forces of repression switch sides the game changes in an instant. We saw it happen in Egypt back in the spring. It's now America's turn to feel those winds of change.

I'm holding that vision.
