Disturbed.
I am not at all at peace with the killing of Khaddafi, or bin Laden for that matter.
Add to that the slaughter of those exotic animals in Ohio earlier this week and the manhandling of the OWS folks.

I am disturbed and have a general sense of unease at what we're manifesting.

Anyone else?

That's all.

1. I agree
And I feel that we don't have the truth about any of these killings.
Something feels wrong to me about the explanation that the man killed himself.

2. Don't forget the drone killings
The rule of law no longer applies.

If people in power can decide to kill other people without any kind of judicial process, namely a fair trial, then none of us are safe.

3. Ditto
We have so much propaganda going on by people in our government and media that lie, and lie openly, without shame or excuse. If people pay attention and call them on the carpet, they are attacked and called crazies without explaining any of the discrepancies brought out. So why do we all believe them? Why do we believe these liars are telling the truth and no trial is even necessary?

Of course, the trial of Saddam Hussein smelled of foul play from the beginning. No one liked him, so no one questioned any part of the trial. It just felt like we were being played (and successfully) to avoid a real and fair trial. If it was fair, many of the injustices caused by our government would have been exposed. Killing him was the best way of ensuring that wouldn't happen.

Disturbed, yes. Disgusted, absolutely.

Wish I didn't have so many yahoo cowboys feeling the USA is superior because we kick ass. So sad.

4. Our nation becoming assassins in any sense or in
enabling these atrocities does bad things for our national karma. I feel something bad is going to happen to rectify it. I hope it happens to those who were guilty and not the rest of us who do not approve of how these incidents were handled, however, I don't think the innocent will escape what retribution is coming. We are all in this together.

5. It doesn't feel right
And now they are talking about going into there and making money helping them rebuild. The profiteers are salivating. Is that what it's really about? I don't know, but it doesn't seem right.

6. I think that's what it is about
Making money is what war is about for our country, PERIOD. I am convinced of it. President Eisenhower gave us a warning to beware the military industrial complex. I believe that they are a big part of the end of our democracy. There is a "war" every so many years since WWII, why????? Were any of them really necessary? Did they make some big corporations very rich and powerful? They require a war every so often like a snake requires a nice, plump rat.

7. It's the oil
The US, UK, France, etc. wanted to grab Libya's oil reserves. The rebuilding will consist of building an oil extraction infrastructure.

8. I feel the same thing too....
it's the oil reserves, and the $$$$$$ that Libya is sitting on. That money should go to their people. And I too sense the profiteers are salivating at the opportunity. It's sickening.
