Dowsing for Beginners (Pendulum)

I don't know if anyone here uses other tools for dowsing. I know some of us use the pendulum.

I had never heard the method described in this book. You can use the link and do a search for "suspend your pendulum".
(there is a link for it in the left column when I "Look Inside". It is on pages 29-30.

Briefly: I don't know that I ever thought about cleansing energies on a new pendulum. Mine is a crystal, so that should
have occurred to me.

He also says that you should 'recalibrate' often, as the directions can change. The biggie is on how to hold it.
Fingers should be pointing down. You start w/ about an inch of chain (thread) and, "Swing the pendulum back and forth.
Slowly release more and more thread until the pendulum starts to revolve in circles. Make a knot in the center of the thread
that is below your finger and thumb. This is the correct spot to hold the pendulum when you are dowsing with it."

So, all that is news to me. Did y'all know this?

And recalibrating it.

As for the other stuff, I honestly think that what works best for one person may not work best for another. But this certainly sounds like a reasonable method.

I like the pendulum but generally just muscle test with my fingers.
