Laura Bush - Poster girl for facelifts

Just caught her on a repeat of Larry King and I must say she had had extensive work done. Not a wrinkle. And the twinkle in her eyes are devoid of personality. On one question she seemed to gaffe - Larry asked something about whether she and the Prez discuss things, and he mentioned "personnel." She said "sure, we do talk about personalities." Or something like that. I think she realized she had made a mistake, but kept going.

She is really smart. But I don't think she and the prez are a couple in the real sense of the word. I get the feeling they are both somewhat "asexual," similar to those guys who were on 20/20 Friday night.

You've said it so perfectly. It's so sad. It brings to mind her appearance before all the surgery. She used to have a very genuine look about her, and a real twinkle in her eye.

I used to believe that perhaps she would be the one to speak out against what the bushies and the rest of the cabal were doing. But, jeez. Now, I feel that she has abandoned any principles that she may have had. And, I see her has complicit in the crimes of the cabal in every way.

I have called her "Pickles" for a long time because I think she's stoned all the time. Booze, Xanax, Valium--whatever scrip the Docs will write--I seriously have felt that the poor lady is tanked to the gills.

Come to think of it, if I was married to that asswipe that is her husband I'd have to be pretty stoned to climb in bed with him every night, too...

As for the idea of cosmetic surgery, well, I can't imagine doing it myself--but whatever you feel you need to do is fine by me, I guess.

Maybe I'm just too conservative medically to consider it. Maybe it is because I have had so much cosmetic surgery during my lifetime for reconstruction of my cleft palate and cleft lip--I dunno. Either way, I have always felt kind of bad for anybody that was THAT worried about self image that they'd risk surgery that wasn't medically necessary.

Shoot, Botox even creeps me out. It just makes no sense to me to inject a toxin into your body in the name of vanity. You have to figure if Botox is that creepy to me, I'm sure not gonna sign up to carve bits of my body off in an attempt to deny that I am getting older.

Hubby accuses me of being cranky today. Just figure this is my cranky two cents on the subject of Pickles and cosmetic surgery... :)

scenario here. Both could be closet gays. Maybe that's why they hit it off. They found out they didn't have to do that much touchy stuff in the long run. I can't imagine them having any kind of a relationship even as companions.

I mean what do they talk about? Bush seems to only know sports and can only talk in sport terms. Laura seems to be a little more intellectually well rounded and I can't imagine her wanting to talk about sports all the time.

I think myself the marriage has provided a safe haven for both of them, a place of respectability to hide in.

I think asexual is more like it. To be gay would imply some understanding of the human condition. I think these people are totally plastic. The only thing they understand is money and power. The glint in her eyes is unsettling. It is almost, no, it IS scary. She scares the hell out of me.

Yes, and Condi is a huge sports fan. I cannot help but recall her "As my husband was saying the other night" gaffe.

(Bush is arrested at a very infantile level of functioning and is most likely not capable of having a mature sexual love relationship or intimacy.)

And with Bush's extensive alcohol usage, he is most likely impotent anyway.

While talking about their sex lives is not really what I want to do for a number of reasons, I think that it plays a part in the political actions, and hence is fair game for discussion. All their male aggressive posturing is compensation for what is not happening in their bedrooms?

I had not thought about that possibility, but yes it makes perfect sense. They do not work very well by the way.
