symbolism of Christmas, a thought
Edited on Sat Dec-25-04 09:46 AM by G_j
just to share some thoughts I've had recently..

I was thinking that I didn't feel like celebrating Christmas in America was appropriate this year because of the war, the twisting of Jesus's message of love and all the rest.

I remembered some words from White Eagle. To paraphrase:
The manger can be seen as a symbol of the simple human heart.
In this humble setting one can make a place for the 'Christ Spirit' the spirit of love to be forever born and nurtured.

Anyway, that is the simple vision that came to me this morning.
Let that child-like spirit be welcomed. The spirit of love is the birthright of every soul. There may not be "room at the inn" but there is always a place in the heart for love and hope.

bright blessings, G_j
