Intuitive Message for the Aries Full Moon:
The Battle Within
by Julia Bondi

Sun at 13.43 Libra
Moon at 13.43 Aries

"The only devils in the world are those running around in our own hearts—that is where the battle should be fought." These powerful words spoken by Mahatma Gandhi remind us of the true conflict all human beings face each day. At this full moon the archetype of Libra seeks to reconnect us to our natural desire for peace, contentment and justice. We all wish to live in a world that inspires us to live justly and harmoniously trusting that the inherent value of love is the foundation of our relations both personally and societally. Yet conflict abounds within our own hearts and minds. Argument, polarization, dissension, hate and war surround us all in our daily world. Justice, harmony and love seem very far away from guiding the world we inhabit today.

It can be easy to retreat from the discomfort, frustration and pain of inner and outer conflict. Our Libran minds can find so many reasons, beliefs and excuses to isolate ourselves from this constant and painful meanness, to create a pleasant and safe personal environment to shield us from that we dislike or fear. The deep meaning of the Libra archetype awakens in each of us the sweetness, the beauty, the attractiveness and the pleasure of committing to the authentic ideal of human and spiritual potential to live in inner and outer harmony. At first it is so much easier to seek to remake the world around us in the image of that ideal that inspires us. In time we find that we cannot save the world or recreate the Garden of Eden. Then the real challenge appears as Libra teaches us that harmony is only reached through conflict.

The source of all of our personal and social conflict is the battle within. Can we look outside of ourselves to honestly assess the devils we see in the world? Can we then acknowledge these devils as the ones that live in our own hearts? Can we commit to the courageous battle to defeat the devils within? Will we surrender to this moment of spiritual grace when the full moon of Libra stimulates both the fatigue we feel from so much conflict and the corresponding desire to find peace? Will we sink into the frustration with ourselves and our world that is so familiar and discouraging or will we respond with the courage the Aries moon offers us? Courage and love, with these we can conquer not only our own pain but the suffering of our world.

5. Interesting Dream that this writer and Karen are both discussing
the shadow self right now. I find it very synchronistic that this happens at so many levels as well. Our own shadow the collective shadow and the "big" government shadow coming into the light.

6. I've just been told by a friend that tonight is the Harvest Moon.
It is the full moon closest to the northern autumnal equinox. Long ago, before electric lights, farmers relied on the Harvest Moon to light up their fields at night, allowing them to harvest autumn crops even after sunset.

Here's an interesting article about moonlight:

Eclipse Altar-ations

Touches from autumn’s nature: leaves, branches, pumpkins and other squash will integrate the season’s energy for change into your sacred space. This eclipse opens a cycle marked by Archangel Michael’s feast, on September 29, the day of the first quarter Moon. Larry Pahl writes that it was originally considered the true birth date of Jesus. Those who call on Michael, as well as the Christ within, will now discover great assistance in their personal battle for the One Worthy Cause, which is our progress in consciousness—that could also be called spiritual sobriety.

Affirmations for the Solar Eclipse

The Higher Power has been with me always, and is with me now, guiding me to my true place, with the true success, the true tools, the true will and the true concentration to consolidate my spiritual purpose. That same Higher Power, with Its divine agents, is actively releasing me from any past karma, distractions or obstacles, as It rearranges situations and conditions to complement, fortify and bless the divine plan for my soul.

I am curious what she says about the full moon, but it is not posted, yet...

8. Ha ha! I think my guides/Higher Self were way ahead of me on this one.

Moon in Aries brings out my impulsive side (the reeeeaaaalllly impulsive part of it). And some of you know that some things in my chart emphasize a need to face the Shadow side of myself, especially as regards anger issues (part of the Shadow side of Aries). I was thinking about that when I came across a book addressing this topic earlier this week and got an "urge" to buy it. It's good! And appropriate for this moon, which has me trying to really clear out the last remaining shards--or what I can for now--of my anger and other psychological imbalances (and come to think of it, my 12th house is in Aries at the moment; I was kinda wondering while all of my healing, facing-the-dark-side stuff had happened as the result of impulsive actions and in seclusion this month and actually, this whole year). Those smart guides.

9. OH. MY. GOD.
Okay, I don't mean to be overdramatic here,but...wow.
Husband is an Aires; a pretty full-on one. He had a drama that happened Friday night at the club that as of this evening has caused him to lose his job (AGAIN!!!!!). He WAS NOT at any fault here except that he ...wait for it...gave in to his temper and had an outburst with someone that was verbally attacking him(suprise suprise). In other words, he was being completely and utterly, and fully himself--the Aries. He was motivated to help someone from his big and kind heart, but his impatience and short temper got the better of him.
Well, this sure is making him face his dark side...he sure is having to acknowledge his shadows!!
My puzzlement is that...was there a warning to not fly off the handle? Because reading the above, I don't get that admonishment...just the one to deal with one's shadow side.
I guess maybe we should have seen it coming, but.....I dunno.
Teach me to not pay as close attention as I should....
