It's fine if no one has any suggestions. It's just that it's impossible to get anywhere without resources and so far the key to locating those resources has proven entirely elusive. I'm handling the situation the best that I can without exploding, but that's not working very well most of the time. I get the feeling that the key to earning/getting the resources I need is very near, but I don't know who or what it is.

1. Okay, nevermind.
No, it hasn't come to me, but it shall. In time.

4. Blue Iris, I had a feeling in that last post
that you would work in a temporary position that would provide an opportunity for
a permanent job that you would want. See it as phone contact and some research
(maybe academic, political organization (activist group???) Don't know.

7. Also feel that you will be working with women
your boss will be a woman but there will be other women as well, caring, well-educated.

:-)

This opportunity is slowly making itself clear to me now. I just hope that taking it doesn't mean that I will lose my novel, my spirituality...or my new special friend. The job of which you speak sounds like the one he's angling for.

12. I just noticed a pattern, Iris.

Every time you start thinking about some good change happening, you start going into fear. (e.g., if this good thing happens, you're going to lose your novel, your spirituality, etc.) I wonder if this might be part of what's holding you back from manifesting the changes that you want in your life.

13. Well, what's holding me back has to do with a lot of things...
Edited on Fri Oct-13-06 03:09 AM by BlueIris
...mostly having to do with the idea that I have to "wait" on others in order to make the changes manifest, so to speak. It's funny that I would just think of this now--we've had a number of breakthroughs on the "what's holding up the changes" front tonight. But your post highlights the root of it: fear of more loss/rejection/pain. And of course, there's also that whole "fear of meeting my own needs more often than or instead of the needs of others" which, in my case, also means, "Other(s)." Just lately, I've been thinking a lot about the idea that doing what I'm supposed to in order to honor my Path shouldn't be this hard, and I think one reason I forgot that it shouldn't be is because I forgot that it's my Path. It should involve service to other people, but service to others doesn't and shouldn't mean being their slave, and it shouldn't mean putting my own needs behind those of others in every sense.

2. I hate to say 'just wait', Blue
I know that when you're anxious for the next phase to start that's the WORST thing you could hear, but that's what I feel compelled to say. "Hang in there"--ew, cheesy, I know.

I am SO looking forward to seeing a post from you starting with "FINALLY! HERE IT IS!" That WILL happen. Promise!

3. You're saying it yourself, it's right here....
"it's impossible to get anywhere without resources and so far the key to locating those resources has proven entirely elusive..."

This is the thought that you need to turn around to bring what you want. Also, why are you looking for a KEY to what you want?
So, if you feel it's very near, keep that feeling-but bring it to today.
I'll say it too, hang in there!

:hi:

6. First - realize - IT'S NOT YOU!!!
We all go through rough patches and in our society where we define ourselves by our resources, that can be very hard on our self-esteem, but please, try not to let that happen!!! Every human alive goes through terrible times, but in our society where we would rather talk about our sex lives than our financial situation, we never know how much trouble people have on that front. From the curb everyone looks like they live the good life, but you don't know what is REALLY going on with people.

The reason I bring this up is because I recently did a tarot reading for someone and got "The Wheel of Fortune". I looked up the meaning on this http://www.ata-tarot.com/resource/cards/ site and the ending was so perfect.

No matter which way the Wheel of Fortune throws you, it's impossible to try and change it, so you might as well try to live with it. If a crisis seems inevitable, recall that in every crisis lies opportunity. When you've been swept in new direction, know that every path leads somewhere, even if you don't know where it is. When times are bad, or when times are good, always keep in mind that they won't last forever. Such events are just out of your control, and if you can accept that then the ride gets a lot easier. If you struggle against the Wheel it will crush you. So roll along with it!

I declared bankruptcy last year. It was humiliating because I had moved back to my hometown and my name was in the paper as a bankruptcy. I could blame American Express for raising my interest to 29% on several cards even though I never made a late payment, or I could blame my brother for talking me into going into a huge amount of debt so he could record an album of instrumental music. But, in the end, it was my fault and I knew it. This was just before the bankruptcy law changed and DU was full of people calling people like me "dead beats". And they were probably right. But, I finally realized I was in far too much debt to ever get out and I needed to take the chance I had for a fresh start. It was a huge blow to my ego, but maybe my ego was too big? Or too big for the wrong reasons. But now, a year and a half later, it's much better and I'm so glad I did declare bankruptcy.

I'm saying this because we all feel like losers when our bank account is low, and we feel like kings when we have money. Screw that!!!! Give yourself a break. Be nice to yourself and forgive yourself and let go of whatever is blocking you from getting what you want. Sometimes just having a good attitude is all that is needed to attract wealth.

A few months ago I bought a heart shaped crystal of black and white quartz. The man at the store told me the black quartz would absorb negative energy without needing to be cleansed and the white crystal would provide love, especially self-love. My feeling is you need some self-love. Try to find a crystal like that maybe? There were a number of them in the store where I was.

Good Luck and lots of LOVE!!!

8. Sometimes it's so difficult
to know whether to sit back and be patient, that lessons are being learned and, in time, what you need will come to you; or to take the reins, and that is the lesson.

I really do feel for you, BlueIris, as you well know I was in a similar situation for quite some time, too. I hope you find the path that is right for you very, very soon.

10. HEY BLUE IRIS. . .

LIGHTEN UP !!! AND CHILLLLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:)

Sorry to yell but I wanted to make you laugh.

I know it's easier said than done but you'd better blow away those goopy & sticky thoughts and start getting yourself totally PSYCHED !!!!!

The 17th is right around the corner so when your feeling those woesome and "doomey and gloomey" thoughts, consider sitting yourself down and writing down an affirmation or prayer to neutralize the negative outcomes that you may just be inadvertently empowering. You silly one.

Like the affirmation cassie's friend suggested. . .

"I am abundance, financial freedom, and personal happiness. Now make manifest and sustain with grace."

Or maybe somethin' like. . ." I am co-creating with spirit that I will experience greater happiness in my personal, domestic, and employment situations and am moving ever closer to fulfillment of my soul's divine purpose."

Be creative dear. I think you could fingerpaint and sparkle a few of these sorts of positive statements on your walls. Or you could be more practical and use poster boards if ya have to I guess.

Keep it silly love and you may just beam in a truly wondrous surprise.

Oh hold on. . . I'll go fetch a link for you. . .the Dalai Lama is about to give you a major verbal lashing young lady. . . (as if that's his style)

on edit-

Notice that "energies" is spelled wrongly. Isn't that funny?

And it might sound like an absurdly ridiculous comparison but at least you didn't lose your country, your twin flame, a boatload of devotees to the Red Chinese or anything. His holiness maintains and radiates his bliss nontheless ya know? Though in a recent speech, he did not deny having to process anger from time to time.

Here's one from Kryon I already posted on the monthly prayer thread. . ,

"I am that I am, and the divinity in me is going to make a difference on this planet. Even my small efforts will create an energy that is larger than I can imagine, combined with the energy of others, will create a lasting and eternal peace on earth."

Now get fingerpainting and sparkling. . .okay. . .?

Hope none of this offends you. I'm going through a physical and spiritual healing and it has me feeling especially goofy. Last night I went so far as to post about spirituality and labrador retriever puppies in the Election Reform forum. Yikes.

ps and you really might consider avoiding talking about Blue Iris behind her back.. . :) It's sort of rude ya know? What's with refering to yourself as a third person anyhoo. . .? Stick to your true self maybe. aaand have more fun. :)

much love

14. Hee hee hee.
I'm in the process of both lightening up and chilling. And thanks for the info on the Dali Lama. It's nice to know that even that most advanced of souls still needs to process anger.

15. Try going through 24 hours
without thinking or saying "I can't" or "They won't" .

I've been watching you suffer for a long time here and really trying to come up with some ideas to help. Before my feet hit the floor this morning, this came to me. Try it.

16. Blue Iris
I have been stuck in the financial and legal doodoo for so long, I am going to try the manifestation thing and signed up - which details I posted
for tomorrow.

this comes linked from Global Consciousness and Noetic Sciences

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=245x28878
Joseph writes it is ok if you have not sent any personal manifestation - and if it's too cumbersome

this is part of the above:

http://www.megahrgroups.com/events/PMG06.html
she says you don't even have to know when she is performing her - whatever it is.
