my 1000th post - on election day!!

wanted to share it with the AS&AHG group because you're all so GREAT!!! :bounce: :party:

Took me almost two years to break 1000. (And I probably still regret at least 1/3rd of my posts!)

So far it looks like it's going to be a good night for the Democrats! Looks like all your positive vibes paid off. Thanks!!!

that I discovered DU.

It was a day or two later, or maybe longer, before I joined it. But it was that darned election and that unbelievable night that brought me here.

Is that when you found it?

3. I was going to kos and came here because kos didn't want any talk of election fraud.

For months, I only went to the election results forum. I was certain Kerry would be sworn in. Autorank was one of my favorite posters back then. (now too) He used to come to the AS&AHG forum occasionally. I've mentioned before that I'm a computer programmer and my current contract is in Massachusetts. Today at work everyone was laughing at the absurdity of not having a paper trail. (It is so wonderful to work with some Democrats. Coming from Indiana where everyone seems to be a Republican, it's such a welcome change!)

5. Congratulations, Suzie!!! I found my way here the day after

the 2004 election too...like many here, I knew in my heart he had won & it was stolen. Today, like then, people came out in droves to vote. The polls were not wrong, it breaks my heart today that he did not fight. Mass. is calling the win for Patrick for Governor! How sweet is that?!!?? Mostly paper ballots here still...you gotta have a paper trail.

You KNOW it's the war that brought everyone out, the country wants out.

Suzie, I hope you are here for a long, long time to come! :toast:
