"New Year-- New You" manifestation group interest thread...
Edited on Fri Jan-05-07 02:01 AM by bliss_eternal
Hi ALL!

If you are interested at all in participating in a new manifestation group please check in here. Such a group would feature check in's, support during the process of manifestation, (possible) casual assignments or challenges to help encourage your process and inspire you along the way, and offer a place to share your triumphs and/or get support if and when you may need it.

There is no need to share with anyone what you may be interested in manifesting at any time. I've read that it can be counter productive to your process to share with others what you want to do (and/or be)--so secrets are good. ;) If anyone hasn't heard of this, and would like an explanation (or at least what I've read) regarding why it can be counter productive to share what you want, let me know. I'll be happy to share. ;)

We've done this a couple of times before. What I really liked seeing was how readily people shared techniques with one another. I also loved seeing members share their successes here. I found it really inspiring and encouraging. I also liked that some of our members offered days, dates and even specific times when lunar phases would be to our advantage. What I didn't like, was that as I allowed myself to get side tracked by life, I allowed the check-ins to just drift away. :( So perhaps we could talk about getting volunteers to start the threads or discussions if any of us can't be available that week for any reason. (Please offer feedback on this--I'm totally open to suggestions here...!)

Speaking of which, I shared what I liked and disliked about our check-in's previously--not to criticize, but to open up the possibility of an exchange of ideas of what works, what doesn't and most importantly what YOU would like to see with this group. What would you like to see?

Ok--I've blathered on quite long enough.

Best,
bliss :hi:

1. Bliss, I'm so glad you posted again about a manifestation
check-in thread!! :bounce:

Maybe we could do a monthly thread, and the person who starts that month's thread can kick it up on occasion so it doesn't get lost. I'd certainly be willing to start one for several months. And sharing what has been manifested, or talking about barriers we're running into, I think can be a good thing.

I've also read that sharing what you want to manifest can be counter-productive, but for the life of me, right now I can't recall why that was, so if you could share what you know, bliss, that would be great.

I hope others are interested in this. I think it's a great idea. Thanks again, bliss!

13. I have read that group manifestations are particularly powerful
and quite successful. The combined energy is very good.

I have not heard about it being a bad thing to do it in a group setting
and being open about it.

I think an open group manifestation would work better, more energy
and ideas swirling around.

and I'm glad you're offering another perspective on this, as I'd only ever read the one I offered. I'm glad to hear what you've shared, thanks so much! :hi:

I don't want to discourage anyone from sharing their energy here--all is welcome. ;) I know there were some concerns previously, when we've done this on how to do it, should you share, not share, creating dream boards--yes or no, etc. Some even contacted me, asking if they had to share (last time we did this). So I just put that out there in case anyone was concerned.

25. I think sharing should be optional
Any one who wants to be in the group should be in the group,
and it is up to each individual what to share, how much
and if they share at all. They can be as specific as they like
or not on the forum.

Though each person at home should be very specific, write it down
or do a story or dream board. It should be put in some concrete form
somewhere. But that can be private. And any progress can be noted on
the forum, again how much is shared is up to each person.

Hi bliss, waving back at you!

2. I would like to know
why sharing manifestation is not 'good'. When I learned magick, we were cautioned to not disclose. Haven't heard this in a manifestation vein. The only thing I can think of is that you don't want to share with people who are going to diss' you. But sharing in a supportive environment I thought was a good thing. What did you learn?

14. On sharing goals for manifestation...
Edited on Fri Jan-05-07 06:24 PM by bliss_eternal
What I read, was pretty much the reason that votesomemore spoke of.

While some on the surface may say,"....Yay....hope you get it" etc, etc. inside they may not be wishing you well and scatter the energy, and thwart your efforts.

You can share here if you like. :) I was just saying one doesn't "have to" share if they are uncomfortable doing so, or if they feel it may be "counterproductive." As cassie mentions, it may be very powerful to get group energy working together. :)

Sharing here should be fine--just be aware, it's still a public board. We get our share of lurker trolls--some that are even so bold as to get accounts to enter our midst...and well...you know. Not that I want to scare anyone, just a mild reminder of our reality here. We are a small part of a much bigger board, a board that is frequently targeted by those with less than genuine personal agendas. ;) It's easy to forget in this area, though. We kind of keep to ourselves here and things are more peaceful on this forum, than in the main parts of the board.

Manifesting with little effort? Good for you! I know what you mean about the Secret. I got the book for Christmas and have been reading from it each night--it's amazing, and makes me feel like anything is possible.

27. Bliss, that's not good. You know we all manifest, whether we are
aware of it or not, it's better to put the right intentions into it, than to just let things happen. Being mindful is better. I look forward to being mindful and reaching for the greater good with all of you at both personal and community levels. You all have given me very much. :loveya:

9. Guess I will start
Edited on Fri Jan-05-07 04:22 PM by votesomemore
I seek a couple of things.

First is long term, permanent sobriety. I should state. I intend to have never ending sobriety.
Are you with me? (AzDem .. if I didn't state that correctly please aid)

Second. I have about $1,000 worth of dental issues. It makes me less secure in any situation.
So I intend to have this need met. Are you with me?

you only need to be sober in the moment, moment by moment and if you keep breathing in and out before you know what hits you, you're an oldtimer :)

as for the dental issues, get clean then get employed, teeth problem solved eh?

11. It hurts
before it feels better. I'm a pain chicken. It is one laborous breath after the next though, huh?

I don't know about the employment and dental issues.

Manifestation thread. We AGREE that Spirit will aid us in our intentions. Unless I have this wrong? There is someone on our side? Agreeing that we can attract our highest and best good? I'm sorry, I sound harsh. You know I'm trying to find the Force. Probably right in front of me, but I can't see.

Orange bubble.

You've got to feel it, to heal it--or so they say. ;) I addressed your dental issues up thread. Of course we can talk about it more in the group (others always seem to offer lots of good stuff when we get going). Glad you'll be joining us. :grouphug:

15. Hi votes...
on the dental issue--

Is there a dental school near you (or within a reasonable distance)? Frequently, dental schools are seeking patients for low to no cost. The work is done by the dental students in training, (residents) supervised by dentists already in practice. The only requirement is usually for one to be patient, as the work takes time for the students. But I've heard of people getting EXCELLENT dental care and a lot of work quite inexpensively (or free) this way.

Dental hygiene students are always seeking clients to clean for the same reason--they must practice before going in the field. So if there's a good dental hygiene program near you--check into that for a dental cleaning.

You can also recieve cleanings at the dental school, either from a RDH to be, or a dental student in training.

32. Hey, vsm! Don't forget, there's always 'sleep dentistry'.
You owe it to yourself, girl. And, remember that everyone's got some anxiety about the dentist.

I used to do clinical research and often had dental students participate in my research. I have to say that, as a group, I always felt that they were very conscientious. Many would tell me about dental work they did for people in the neighborhood.

They were not at all like the medical students who participated in our research. They were very gentle and caring, and not at all cocky. I would have my dental work done by a student any day, if I still lived downtown. That's a very good recommendation and could save you big $.
