A request for healing thoughts for my daughter.

A request for healing thoughts for my daughter.
I just got a call from my daughter. Her doctor found pre-cancerous cells on two parts of her cervix (level 4 out of 5, which is cancer). They are doing a proceedure on her on the 25th, which I pray will take care of it. Any healing thoughts or prayers from you to her would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to drive her and her fiance to the hospital. I want to be there, and my daughter's fiance won't have to worry about driving. He can pay attention to her before and after, and he and I can keep each other company during. :hug:

I talked to my mom after my daughter told me, and she reminded me that one of my SIL's went through the same thing 15-20 years ago, had the same procedure my daughter is having, and she's been fine ever since.

I went through this many years ago and my friend at work recently had the same procedure. We are both fine (and on a side note, still able to have children.) I do remember being very scared. The waiting was the worst part.

If the doctors were worried about her diagnosis, she'd be having the procedure tomorrow. So, take comfort in that her doctors are willing to wait a couple of weeks.

Also, the procedure is virtually painless and the recovery is quick.

SeattleGirl, I hope this will ease your mind a bit. I know several women who have had this procedure. It has always turned out just fine. This seems to be a common thing these days. She's young, she'll heal fast, and she'll be just fine. I'm sending white light to you and your daughter. Everything will turn out just fine.

You know, after I got off the phone with my daughter, I walked over to where my mask is hanging, and touched it. I felt a little better when I did that. You put some good love into it. :hug:

20. Healing thoughts from me for your daughter, SeatlleGirl! I had this
same condition when my 2 children were young, so I was scared to death when I first heard the diagnosis. I was about 34 years old then.

I had the conization of my cervix and have been having the 'cleanest' PAP tests each year since then.

The realization that cancer cells were developing in my body really freaked me out at the time.

I think that she will be just fine!

I have had some friends who have done very well with the procedure and just have to keep a close eye on themselves from now on. I'll pray that she can join them after getting this taken care of on the 25th.

I sent my daughter a link to this thread (she is a DU member, but rarely posts). I told her that some people who posted on it had gone through it themselves, or knew someone who had, and that they were all fine. That made her feel better, and she will be reading the thread tonight after school.
