This is along the lines of "afflictions" in Buddhist thought, and I thought it is a cute way of putting it. :)
Thomas Crown Affair. Here is a man with everything. He wants for nothing, yet in the film he is willing to leave it all behind; walk away without looking back, to have love in his life. Only a person who understands what it is to live life without "wanting" could possibly understand why Thomas Crown would do that and only a person who understands life without "wanting" understands what is truly valuable. As long as a person is 'wanting' and 'grasping' for newer, bigger and better, the freedom to live whole and complete is not within reach. Interesting isn't it, grasping keeps you grasping!
This in no way discounts the value of having the means to live well. Money, possessions, affluence, are not even part of this equation. This is about not feeling lack in anything AND realizing within your being that everything is possible. There's an old fable that asks the question, "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" Of course that sounds like a circular questions and surely there have been people who have spent countless hours debating the issue. Is it possible that the era in which that question was asked, offers up the answer? There may have been a time when the egg had to come first.
In today's world however, with the energies and frequencies that currently exist, the chicken must come first. If eggs equal money and the chicken is the ability to experience life completely in tune with the idea there is absolutely no lack… ever, then the chicken must come first. To put the egg first, is to spend your whole life working for eggs. With a chicken around, eggs are not a problem. Next week we'll talk about 13 easy steps to raising healthy chickens! - Andi Mac http://www.mayan-calendar-code.com/
