I don't know how to separate the path I've traveled through the book from the path I've traveled through my life. So I just set the BOL down in the journey:

I am the only child of a single parent. A parent who cut herself off from family members, for good reason, before I was born. There were a couple of loving family members who died when I was a young child; other than that, just she and I. No extended family. At all. Ever. We moved all the time; I attended 10 schools K - 12th grade. She worked 1 or 2 or 3 jobs, or whatever it took, to keep us going. I was a latch-key kid before there was such a term. I grew up with a friend here and there, who always got "left behind" the next move. My best, most constant friends were my books, my cats, and my little mustang mare; a miracle for a child in my circumstances. It's a story of isolation from "the norm."

I've never "fit." I don't relate to others well. American culture didn't "take" well with me. I've had a lifetime of social struggles. For many years, I always figured that my isolation left me ignorant; that everybody else knew how people were supposed to be, and if I joined them, I would learn. I would learn about families, social relationships, etc.. So I lived my way through 2 failed marriages, 2 kids, and some social/community/spiritual groups. Every single time, I was sure that I was learning whatever I'd "missed," and that the others knew more than I. And I ended up disappointed; all of the reservations and the contradictions I suppressed kept coming to the fore. A huge, devastatingly painful shift of my life happened in 2001. For Tarot readers, picture the tower card. Change that I feared, change I resisted, swept through my life in 2 devastating waves. And I started waking up.

But still, I kept thinking that everyone else knew more than I did. That I was here to learn, and that I had been failing my lessons. So I applied myself to the lessons with more determination. And at the beginning of 2003, I started to doubt the lessons. I separated myself from the people I was "learning" from, and spent some time in introspection. And then in depression; a sort of giving up. I decided that I was the problem, not the systems I couldn't seem to fit. I resigned myself to isolation; I'd tried fitting so many systems, and it never worked. I blamed myself. By June of 2004, I was exhausted, physically ill, and spiritually numb. When I was released from work for the summer, I rested. I started reaching out to my life again. Not to other people; just to my life. Slowly, but surely, energy started flowing again. Things started getting done.

I started feeling better, more hopeful, and looking ahead. I knew I wasn't operating on all cylinders yet, but I was moving forward. My big focus was how to maintain my health and energy when I had to return to work. I was following MR discussions, and hoped some sort of "Sacred Space" threads would return. When the BOL discussion threads started, I joined. I got my book the first week of September.

I read slowly, one chapter at a time. I made sure I was reading when I was not too tired to ponder or "connect;" so I read mostly on weekends. I started responding. I was interested, and playing with the information I was getting, until I hit Chapter 4. Chapters 4 - 7 just filled me. I saw myself differently; instead of the isolated child who just couldn't "fit," I saw why I didn't fit. I saw the control structures built into all of those systems, and realized that, for whatever reason, I've spent a lifetime resisting them. And that my pain and trouble has always come out of doubt or fear that led me to "try on" the systems.

I saw that I'd always "known" some things, and that I needed to learn to trust myself.

These chapters also directly addressed issues I was consciously working on before I opened the book; Chakra opening/balancing, guides, and shaping and focusing my thoughts to match my intent; removing the patterns of anger, fear, etc. from my mind. I felt that I was coming home.

I know that there is more than one path to ascension; I feel like I've walked for a time on several. I've gained some things, and then moved on to something else. In the NOW, I'm right where I am supposed to be.

This year is bringing many more changes; another year of transformation. This time, instead of resisting, I'm stepping out to meet them. I'm counting on a smoother process. I'm listening to my "little voice" instead of doubting it.

And I'm moving forward. These days, I feel like a lamp with a faulty connection; it isn't always "on." It flickers. And I'm working now to strengthen the connection; to make the light shine steadily without interruption.

I am blown away....I can see you as that sweet lost child always thinking you are doing something wrong.....I am sending so many hugs & love to that child and to the incredible woman she has become!!

I am SO glad you read Michael's book and recognize the wisdom and are claiming the power that you had all along. :yourock:

That TPTB have such a hold on what we perceive as right and how we "should" be...the correct way to "be"...making us feel helpless or just plain wrong......it makes me crazy......I am so happy and proud of you....you are always a bright and shining light to me LWolf...always!!!

I'm printing a hard copy in case I don't get it all read in the next 48 hours; and it's easier to read than pdf on the screen. I'm going to start again from the beginning, in case it is different from the first version I read.

i have saved the dossier for later perusal and it grabbed me right away

i have signs all over the house for the last month "I choose to move forward, I choose life, I choose the ascension"

Hubby has read the book (i haven't finished it yet... I get stuck in Atlantis every time and I think I know why)and keeps telling me to finish it. I may just dive past Atlantis to the final chapters so I can get on to the dossier

Looks great, Michael. ..found very few typos so far...(one was "right" when it should have been "write"...pg 26-line 19).

before I ran out of paper and ink, lol. Enough to keep me busy for awhile, anyway.

I get 2 days off for Veteran's day; a 4 day weekend! Sounds like a good time for some reading. During the week while I'm working, I'll read things at bedtime. They have to be light reading that I can enjoy without trying to "get" anything. At the end of a long work day, my brain wants to "rest." My most thoughtful reading happens on days off.

I was going to spend the afternoon on this, but ended up sleeping the afternoon away. I had a wonderful, glorious morning, and around noon was suddenly hit with a dizzy spell, black spots, breathless, shaking; I don't know what it was, but I went home, went to bed, and got up a little while ago feeling fine.

I'm not at my best in the evenings; I'm a morning person, and to think with clarity, that's when I need to read and/or respond. So, until morning...

believe me....I would much rather read :) ...but it did spur me on to cleaning up more clutter from my house.....part of an ongoing thing....

I am really excited by this book, Michael and can't wait to get hard copies for certain people....

I haven't begun the chakra section yet but know there is going to be plenty for me to look at...dealing with lots of physical stuff lately so am hoping to get some enlightment about it all....

Again...I like the way you make this all clear and straightforward,Michael. Cuts the "woo-woo" right out of the ascension equation and gives us real stuff to work with here on good old Gaia.

when activating the kundalini with the energy running up from the crown and down into ground, I keep wanting to "connect" the streams across the universe

my light goes to the ends of the universe and cycles back as one continuous circle..... ???? input please

edit to add i printed it out and have it in two binders so it is easier to handle

I am handing it off to hubby as he has been doing the meditation for about three weeks now and has been "reclaiming" his power with the affirmations in the intro since I first looked at DOA

some feedback so far, hubby (Brian) tends to be ungrounded and other peoples' energies impact him quite a bit. He does better if he lets down his "tail" (he visualizes a dragons tail and lets other/negative energy trail off behind him into ground) but since he doesn't "work" well being very grounded it ends up getting to him. since he started the affirmations he is much less likely to be impacted by the energy of the people around him and has been calmer and more at peace this last week.

I have been on again off again with the meditation and have some serious clearing to do esp in the sacral and solar, as I read the DOA my solar is throbbing and pulsing.... woohoo here I go! ROFL

I'll keep you posted.....

don't get to caught up on technique. do what your intuition tells you to do. There may be variations on a theme that are relevant for you, your soul group, or whatever.

They key here is to keep it pure. The basic truth here is energy flow through physical conduits. as long as you hold onto that core, variations are acceptable.

isn't that a great sensation when you get that pulsation? The first time it happened to me I almost fell off my chair!

There were even times when I walked around the house in circles swearing in words I can't repeat here.

i almost finished part one tonight and it is great

gave me imputus to finish BOL this weekend

"meditating" (actually more of an awareness of keeping them open and running energy through them) on the chakras several times a day since last weekend and two "formal" meditation periods

i am sorta an expert at taking that "30 second time out" during the day

i skimmed the solar and sacral info in section II last night before bed and just let it percolate as I slept

today I stood up for myself on a small matter that I usually would have let go by... caused some momentary discomfort in a close relationship. I was able to pull back from lashing out and managed to (mostly) do it with love

quite a shock to the person on the receiving end I think LOL

after the emotional rush ran it's course we were able to talk about the fears and new behaviors and get/give support and kudos for growing and being willing to "rock the boat" a bit

is this feedback helpful to you (or the readers)? if so, I'll continue to document the experiences I have with the DoA

I have not gotten into the DOA because after the Intro it said not to start until one was practicing the Invocation for a couple of weeks - something I have not started either...only a couple of times a week so far.

THIS has got to be one of my weakest points in my charater! I cannot stand up for myself and hold my ground without fear, anger, hate, and sometimes fury - except with my kids because I have no trouble mostly responding to them with love.

(My children are the first people in this life who I have felt completely comfortable with, loved, and loving with!)

Others, including my husband, I have much trouble relating to when we need to really communicate.

So I would be interested in your experience with this as well, but I know that I need to get working on the chakra stuff myself!

keep track for a week how many times a day do you say "I'm sorry"

some folks use that phrase all the time about things they had nothing to do with

the first thing I had to do was stop apologizing for just being there LOL. don't take responsibility for things that aren't your stuff. baby steps ya know?

here's something to rock your world, get up out of the chair, go into the bathroom, close the door,
look yourself in the eye and say OUT LOUD

"I love you, I really really love you"

most folks can't do it, or if they do they feel extremely uncomfortable and break out crying

do this every day for a month and it will change your life.

past 10 years.....:-(

I may not say I'm sorry much in daily life, but I know that my attitude, especially outside the home, is one of not really having the right to be there....

Being able to even say to myself that I do have the right was one step for me in healing my agoraphobia about 8 years ago.

But that mirror technique is something I CAN do starting tonite.
