Kabir quote What is found now is found then
If you do not break your ropes while you're alive
do you think
that ghosts will do it after?

The idea that the soul will join with the ecstatic
just because the body is rotten
that is all fantasy.
What is found now is found then.
If you find nothing now,
you will simply end up with an apartment in the City of Death.

-------
This quote was going through my head as I feel asleep last night thinking about the discussions here on 2012 and some beliving that it will be a new agey version of the end times. What is in us now will be in us then. JMO but it is up to each of us to clear out the old useless clutter of beliefs and bad habits. While I believe help is being given it is up to each to accept that help and actually use it - to follow up inner with outer action. As a master procrastinator I know how important that last bit is. Again JMO but no one is going to come and do it for us. I don't believe any spirit beings or ascended master teachers or space brothers will come and fix everything or even most of any thing.

I am not saying anyone here is saying this. This is a general comment on what I have read elsewhere and found frustrating to think that some people are following the patterns of many religions where they wait for someone else to fix things - including themselves. It is the field of dreams/cargo cult approach to change. build a nice space and just wait hoping they will come and do the rest for you.

As a recently posted video said Be The Change. Just do the best you can, give others a hand when you can and do it now. Procrastinate as little as possible only to realize it is new years eve 2011 and you still don't think you deserve even basic health and happiness.

1. Thank you for a thoughtful post
What I'm finding is when I get lessons in life, they are clearer now than in the past-I'm seeing the "good" in "bad" things, and getting their meaning. If we are to have a change, it will come via paying attention to the lessons of life, I think, and cherishing the small steps that lead us toward the One. Above all, be open to what enters you life! It comes for a reason!

2. Life lessons. I had a big one recently that I would have avoid if possible
in the end it was good that I dealt with it. I accomplished something I never thought I would and yet I am still not happy it happened. It's kind of like cleaning house. There will always be bits I will hate to touch germphobe that I am but they must be done. I will be happy with the result just not the actual DOING of it :o
