I've done these since '00 but not recently so I really have to dig into my files to figure out how many I've done but who cares really?

So goaded on by MG here goes anyhoo.

I might be a little rusty.

The Full Moon will occur at 8:35 am EST at 1 degree and 54 minutes of Aquarius/Leo.

So though wickfordbard (whom I love) ascribed it to the next minute and that was totally understandably given the excessive minutes involved.

I'm deeply compelled to look at the Sabian symbols for the previous degrees.

1 Aquarius- An old Adobe mission - the keyword is durability

1 Leo- A case of apoplexy - the keyword is irresponsibility

Note the non too subtle distinction.

Fixed sign Full Moons are more intense than the others. The cops even take notice. We can tend to feel drawn and quartered during them.

Fundamentally the Aquarius/Leo axis is one of the "we versus the me." So bereft of truly representative leadership, or scarcely any honest dialogue collectively, do we want to wait for them or do we want to join together? With 5 influences in Aquarius we'd better start thinking of the many rather than the few.

http://www.sedonadigitalarts.com/html/video_previews.html

Venus is nudging towards a transitional Pluto in late Sagittarius making us all horny as hell. But where to go. . .where to go. . . and who to do. . .who to do ? Beyond immediate gratification, this conjunction at a critical degree of Sagittarius is about empowerment of one's deepest beliefs. With the nauseating rise of bigotry and homophobia, (like I thought we were so over that) maybe let's consider projecting a more inclusive vision.

Far beyond that, what belief systems are no longer serving us in this still new millennium?

Mercury is wobbly and approaching Neptune so visionary experiences are recommended for all with or without mood altering substances.

Mars is still retrograding and we still don't know whether or not it'll be struck by that comet on the day when it will have it's station (Jan 30th). How wild is that. . .?

Due to Mars' weak gravitational field, the astro geeks can't quite even be sure of it's trajectory as yet.

But even if it's a near miss it'll be a cosmic kick in the butt for all our collective wobbliness. We deserve it IMHO.

TRANSLATION: If you want to make major decisions, please wait until Pluto goes into Cap and Mars goes direct.

You'll simply make much better decisions then.

Meanwhile Mars is goading on our consciousness, begging us to evolve into greater enlightenment in late Gemini.

It might not be a bad idea at all.

Happy Trails.

1. Well, that was quick!

Thanks for pulling those astrological threads together. Sounds like we are kind of in limbo-land as these various planets change direction. "wobbly" indeed!

What was it about the Sabian symbols in the previous degrees that compelled you to go with them?
I think Wickfordbard's decision to use the following Sabian symbols is based on the author's suggestion. Anything after 0'00" of any of the degrees is read as the following one. Or at least that's how I recall it. However it's all intuitive so we have to go with what moves us.

Any updates on the asteroid/comet hitting Mars situation? Guess we'll know soon enough!

Thanks.

4. Yeah back in the day these used to take me a week to comprise.
In terms of the Sabian Symbols, they just simply didn't resonate with me as much as the previous degrees.

That was an anomaly. Some more current sources recommend that things have been altered in terms of degrees.

Weird. I was just guided to do it.

The astro geeks were hysterical about the comet. They were at first all excited about studying the dust created by its impact or near miss.

Then an astrobuff explained the gravitational deviance thingy to me.

So anyhoo it's really cool that it's happening on that day. All I get is that it's like a punctuation mark for the station. But the odds are. . . well. . . they are astronomical. LOL

Last I heard it was 1 in 25. Yet that could change.

Stay tuned as I know you will.

best

9. Pluto goes into Capricorn on January 25th @ 10:44 pm EST
but it'll retrograde back into Sagittarius from mid June until late November.

In my hurry to post this I neglected to mention that Mercury will go retrograde on January 28th @ 12:31 EST. It'll go direct on February 18th @ 6:57 pm EST.

Mars go stationary direct on January 30th @ 2:33 pm EST.

12. I love your post...thanks for tying it all together so well!
I think the overlap of Mars and Mercury retrograde is kind of frustrating, huh? Kind of like all that Mars energy will finally get going (so many I know are complaining that they're not getting anything done right now, myself included but it has eased inthe past week for some reason) but maybe in the wrong direction or with communication glitches or something. So, still a little mucky.

But I have to say, I'm really looking forward (even tho it may get ugly) to Pluto in Capricorn. I can't wait till this huge era of spin, corruption and bullsh** gets a dose of Pluto in Cap.

:hi:

19. I've got a client, who should know better, nipping at my heels
He's been bugging me the past couple of days to make a decision on a job he wants to start with me. I reeealllly need to put him off till Pluto goes into Cap. Maybe I'll just tell him we need to wait--he'd be okay with an astrological explanation...

11. Just read that Jan. 30th (the day Mars goes direct) will be the day that
the Fed will meet to decide on interest rates...with the added pressure to come up with something new due to the devastating impact of the Bush stimulus plan on the global markets.

Fed rate cut fails to slow stock slump
Taipei Times:

..."There was a snowball effect of selling, mainly due to falls on other world markets, fears that troubles on the US financial markets are spilling over into the wider economy and finally that Japanese authorities are unable to do anything about it," said Toshihiro Matsuno, market research head at SMBC Friend Securities.

"Stability needs to emanate from the US markets and there is little that Japan can or would want to do," he said.

But Matsuno said that the market expected US authorities to try to calm markets before next week's Federal Reserve meeting, which is widely expected to slash interest rates.

"Although there are few economic indicators this week, the market is expecting US authorities to say or do something to tackle this problem -- other than rate cuts -- that would calm down markets," Matsuno said.

The stock market volatility will continue as long as US and European markets are unstable, said Yutaka Miura, strategist at Shinko Securities.

"Investors are waiting to see if US and European policy makers will come up with new measures," Miura said.

"An inter-meeting rate cut by the Federal Reserve or the advanced implementation of Bush's stimulus plan or the introduction of a public fund could be effective in bringing stability to the markets," he said....>

13. Yup things are going crazy with the global markets right now for sure .
Pluto in Cap won't necessarily quell that, nor will the comet whether it hit's Mars or not.

A near miss will kick up some dust as the geeks say.

tra la la.

ps did you see the looney toon preacher's you tube thingy I posted on your churches in crisis thread?

It is a total hoot.

18. Wow. I don't understand all of this, but
what struck me were the Sabian symbols you cited:

1 Aquarius- An old Adobe mission - the keyword is durability

1 Leo- A case of apoplexy - the keyword is irresponsibility

Besides durability, an old Adobe mission makes me think of Texas, which makes me think of George W. And Irresponsibility pretty much defines that guy. IMHO, this whole market free fall was orchestrated by Bush/Cheney. They are trying to send a message to someone somewhere else in the world "When America sneezes, the rest of the world gets the flu, so don't f*&k with us." I do not know what they stand to gain, but they have not uttered one true word since taking office, so I am very suspicious that the pick the Friday before a long weekend (when the US markets will be closed) to announce their recession/depression remedies. The stimulus package, btw, is total crap and nonsense. It is all for show, and makes me want to.... :puke:

Yes, the economy is struggling, has been struggling for some time, even though W has been saying for a year that it's "strong." But who didn't see this coming? The auto industry has been in the toilet for several years, the sub-prime crisis has been over a year now, and the writer's strike is starting to cost billions. Gas prices have been eating away at everybody's income for several years, curtailing travel and spending. All of this together is going to have a big trickle down effect on the economy. Any economist with half a brain could see this. The stimulus package is too late, too little, and too nebulous to do anything but make people even more worried about the economy.

OMG, Sorry for the rant, but that man is a g*&-#*&$%d criminal and should be impeached, and his little dog, Cheney, too.

20. Yup". . . total crap and nonsense. . ."
Let's see. . .their looting and wasting of our treasury, last measured will cost each and every one of us and our kids 20 grand and now we're supposed to get all excited about an 800 dollar bribe. . .?

I wonder what percentage of the general population can't see it as such.

Yikes.

The stimulus package is akin to treating a severed limb with a band aid. Too little too late indeed.

Many astrologers have been seeing Pluto's ingress into Capricorn as heralding the "collapse of empires" for a long time. Yet the institutions that were established to serve us no longer do so. Major restructuring is required.

The imaginary Ipod in my cranium keeps shuffling to that Dylan song, "Everything is Broken"

Near-Earth Asteroid 2007 TU24 to Pass Close to Earth on Jan. 29 - Should be Observable with Modest Sized Telescopes
Don Yeomans
NASA/JPL Near-Earth Object Program Office
January 22, 2008

Asteroid 2007 TU24, discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey on October 11, 2007 will closely approach the Earth to within 1.4 lunar distances (334,000 miles) on 2008 Jan. 29 08:33 UT. This object, between 150 and 600 meters in diameter, will reach an approximate apparent magnitude 10.3 on Jan. 29-30 before quickly becoming fainter as it moves further from Earth. For a brief time the asteroid will be observable in dark and clear skies with amateur telescopes of 3 inch apertures or larger.

For an interactive illustration of this object's orbit see:
