Manifest the Pack of Your Dreams -Moon in Leo
Crystal Pomeroy

The January Full Moon is usually in Cancer, shedding her light on family and home, the base from which we pursue our Capricorn New Year’s goals. This archetype is reinforced by the pagan name, the Wolf Moon, alluding to a creature whose pack is decisive to its emotional and physical survival. This January, however, the Wolf Moon takes place in Leo, inviting us not only to honor our roots and dear ones, but to apply creative intent to manifest the pack we desire, and release whatever has not been supportive in them.

Programs from our families of origin go deep, and may seem to take a lifetime or longer to heal. However, the kernel of creative divinity within is a player whose role in our lives should not be underestimated. Furthermore, we are receiving help from spiritual dimensions to fulfill a purpose of beauty and freedom in this lifetime. The New Moon in Capricorn that began the current cycle opened a portal to heal victim programs. Now, at her fullness, Luna helps us recover our creative role in choosing to keep only affirmative aspects of our family experience, and direct the power of intent to manifest a more circle.

This one rings sooo timely for my present situation as I have been noticing and seeing quite a bit of generational imprints which definitely needs healing...

1. I think Tao teaches us
(please correct me) .. I think Tao teaches us that we can change in an instant. We can realize that this moment is the first moment. When we live in our heads in the past or future, we can bring it back to now and make any choice we want to. The book I have even says you could wake up one morning and have your attitude and actions completely divert from habitual behavior. We can step up any time. (ramble) . I think about this a lot, wishing I could do it. Wishing I could just say, the past doesn't exist. Today, I AM.

NLP teaches re-framing. You take a situation as it is in your perception and change the way you look at it with visualization. This can be done so many ways. Change the scenes to black and white, or if you see them that way, change them to color. If you are looking head on, turn a little and see it from the side, top, bottom, close, far away. That gets us unstuck from looking at an issue or anything from just one vantage point.

I happened to attend NLP tonight and the teacher gave us a new one. Choose an occasion when your behavior was reactive, and you didn't like the way you reacted. You wish you had the resources you need to change the behavior.

The exercise goes this way: Close your eyes. You imagine this issue in a small circle about three feet in front of you. You should be standing up. Observe yourself in that situation within the circle. After you get a feel for it, step into the circle and become yourself in the situation. Note how it feels. Also note, what's around you. Pay attention to the ares around people and take note of their body posture, tensions, how they occupy their space. IOW, you are living the situation but expanding it to the surroundings (in the actual situation).

Then step back to your observer position. Still with eyes closed, you turn your head to observe the person on your right. Remember this is all visualization. This person is a Wise One. He knows that everything is made up of the same sub-atomic materials. That the lives we put together are merely illusions. Get a good feel for this character. Observe his outline, attitude, body posture, breath. When you have that, step to the right to take that position. Now, look at the situation in the circle. How do you feel about it? What do you observe?

Take as long as you like. To do the entire process, you return to the starting position and repeat with a person who is Full of Heart. They just see everything with LOVE. They know that people do the best they can. They understand that every motivated thought or action has the intention of gaining a positive outcome. People do things for a reason. There is a need there. You will step into this character also and learn what sh/e observes.

It is repeated a third time with a character who is Adventurous. He knows that there is no such thing as failure. People who quit made it up. As long as you don't quit, failure does not exit. There's nothing wrong with "quitting". If it is a choice, it isn't a failure. Sh/e takes risks! Everything is an adventure in exploration and discovery. Repeat the process for this character.

The closing is merging all three characters, and then step into their space. You now have the resources to change your reaction. You have so much deeper understanding.

This may seem OT, but that's what I came up for me after reading this part:

Luna helps us recover our creative role in choosing to keep only affirmative aspects of our family experience, and direct the power of intent to manifest a more circle.

Since all our actions are motivated towards a goal, towards manifesting what we have in mind, that's the part I need to discover and keep as the affirmative aspects. I want to do this, not just for my actions, but to step inside other people's situations so I may alter my perception.

Rumpel .. I thought of you the entire time I was reading. This really speaks to your current situation, doesn't it?

yes - it does.

Through my experiences, I am and have been living in the now, for a while, albeit I catch myself many times in a day - it is a work in progress. The interesting thing is that I see my mother, my daughter, my brother - just all of us having an imprint from our near ancestors. It is in our morphic fields (Sheldrake). I do however think we can change that, especially if it does not serve our best intent, goals or wishes. Once we are able to see and recognize what no longer serves us, or especially, when it is impeding our progress, we have to consciously work on it.

Your methods seem a wonderful way to do that. :)

The tough part is to acknowledge we are only responsible for ourselves and not interfere with anyone else's path. It frustrates me to see what the problem is vis a vis my mother, and all I can do is, in a sense tell her, which she perceives as "scolding" when I perceive it as suggestions. The negativity is huge, so huge that it is affecting my own field, and then I do react negatively.

What is one to do, when someone actually feels secure in the old ways and does not want change? When change equals uncertainty filled with fear. When wanting to get well is just a figure of speech and being catered to is the true unconscious intent because of an inherent mis-understanding of what love is. This mis-understanding, I now know, is rooted in another generation. Thank universe, because of the physical distance I was further removed and hence I can see it and do not have to be enslaved by it.

I don't know, does it make sense? I may be rambling, but what it boils down to is I don't know where to put my foot down in this case.

Maybe your exercise will give me some more insight. thanks. :hi:

on edit: These are some things I identified as toxic in our family

3. I think one way
to go about applying that process for yourself, would be to put your reaction and feelings about the situation with your mother in the circle. You'll observe yourself, then step into the circle and feel all the feelings and the whole time just listen to what your subconscious/higher self is telling you or showing you. Then you step back and by turns into each of the Resource characters. You'll see yourself from three different perspectives. When I did this last night, I got a couple of amazing insights. Something I have been fighting against suddenly had solutions! It is pretty powerful.

I think you could do it with your mother in the circle too, and view her from the characters' POV.

The Dali Lama tells us that the only way we learn is from our "enemies". Enemies in this context can be anyone or anything that challenges us. Right now I can honestly say the IRS is my enemy. ;)
Let me give thanks for the growth gained from this experience! (lol)

4. oops
irs - remote family, lol

I'll see what comes.

I just had to tend to another drama - my heart skipped a beat and all dogs ran towards her door - I thought she fell from her wheel chair - I had just put her there because she wanted to work on something at her computer - the scream, it was just because she was frustrated. So she wanted to get back into bed, then she changed her mind she wants to use the commode. Now she calls on intercom, "reminding" me to call my attorney, and so this day moves on...

5. My dreams seem to support this message
For the last 4 days they've been 'death, death, death', which we all say means "change, change, change" and I sure hope it's all for the better.

Speaking of sudden changes on full moons etc, how about that wall coming down in Rafah?
