So, I threw caution to the wind today and returned to the world of famous blogging.

I'm not going to mention the name, but last I checked, it was the sixth most popular political blog on the Internet. Wish me luck, everyone!

1. Buena Suerte
I don't entirely understand your post, but I wish you good luck anyway. Why not mention the name? You have gotten me very curious.

2. My search
comes up with TPM from two separate googles. But I don't see women posting on ANY political blogs. :(

5. Okay, it's...

Not TPM.

It may have dropped in rank, but I doubt it. Hmmmm. Anyway, I feel like I shouldn't say. The point is—I have returned, at least in part, to a vague semblance of something connected with the Real World. Or at least with self-expression. I'm kinda proud of me, despite the Mars/Mercury issues.

6. Well, Congratulations!
If you don't want to say, it's perfectly okay. I'm very pleased that you have an outlet and are making a contribution. You have every reason to feel proud.

4. The blog is controversial (the owner was banned here in '06).

I don't agree with everything he posts, but the other co-authors and I kinda balance out his extremities.

11. No, the *owner* was banned. I actually asked a mod if it was okay to post links
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 05:16 AM by BlueIris
to the site on this board (considering the guy whose name is on the site had his DU account yanked) and the mod said it was still fine to do so.

For the record, mentioning that he was banned here is not a rip on mods/admin; I was just mentioning it. I think of the site as controversial mainly because of the main blogger's personality, (oh, and it's NOT Bev Harris or any of her associates) which even he admits has some rough edges, and because of some of his opinions on foreign policy (don't ask).

7. Well gosh, I found this:
"AT least one color authority, Pantone, has taken the plunge and announced its favorite color for 2008.
Blue Iris brings together the dependable aspects of blue, underscored by a strong, soul-searching purple cast. Emotionally, it is anchoring and meditative with a touch of magic.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/20/fashion/20COLOR.htm?_r=1&oref=slogin

I'll bet you already knew that though. :)

Anyway, best of luck with that and hopefully we'll be able to happen upon it some day.

8. Yeah, I've been really excited about being "Color of the Year" for a while now.
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 06:10 AM by BlueIris
Hopefully that (and other things) will make 2008 a banner year for me.
