Urgent request for light/vibes. One of our kittens, Mordechai, is missing.
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 01:22 AM by BlueIris
He's been missing for a day now, and we want him to come home, ASAP. I don't have a bad feeling—more of a "blank" feeling—about his whereabouts, so I think there's still hope. Send protection/"get home now" vibes, if possible.

And calming light for you, too, Blue Iris...I know how nerve-wracking it is to have him missing!

7. Oh no, wayward kitty?
Come home, Mordechai! Special treats await you! (Sorry about the artistic license--but I figure you'd have something nummy for him stashed away! :D)

FWIW, what I'm picking up is he's too busy nosing about, following interesting scents. He knows he's "late", but he's ignoring the clock, insisting he'll be home any minute now.

10. I get the sense he went nosing around in someone's garage or
shed and got locked in. Go around the neighborhood to those kind of places and call him. See if you can get him to answer you.

14. twice this happened to our cat!
Once he got locked into the crawl space in the house two doors down--for a week!! I have to thank my then ten your old next door neighbor for figuring this out.

Then, as if he didn't learn, he was locked in the crawl space next door for two-three days.

He truly had many, many lives, but they caught up with him when he was about 18 or so. Good cat.

18. Interesting, I had a similar flash.
I don't claim to be psychic, but I have found that if I follow my "flashes" or impulses it has been for my benefit.

Having issued the disclaimer, when I read this thread I had a momentary flash of an old barn type structure. Sorry, I didn't get more than that and when I saw this post I figured that it would set the process for where to look. Just putting in my 2 cents worth to hope it helps.

11. Mordecai should be home tonight.
I feel it. Our cat was missing for day and came home this morning. Cats do this.
What does Mordecai look like? I sense a dark, long-haired cat with white markings. Is this correct, or am I looking at another cat?
I'm not really good at this -- but I feel, or sense, that Mordecai might be home by tonight.
You may also get a call about him from someone. Is he marked with a tag?

12. Here kitty kitty
come home. Don't be frightened. BI, go looking for Mordechai and remember when cats get frightened, they get very quiet. Could be he's really close to home. Try a live trap baited with food if you get a "hit" on where he might be.

15. Vibes coming your way....and Mordechai's way. How old is Mordechai?
Is he male or female. Is he an outside kitty. Does he roam often?
Is he a hunter?

My kitty (2 years old in Aprl.) came to the door with a birdy and so proud. I was mortified because I set out birdfeeders for the birds to have food and I love them.

My cat has no front claws, but insists on hunting.

Come home Mordechai...I know I can't sleep when mine even wants to go out on the porch.

24. No sign of your kitty yet, BlueIris?
Have you tried the animal shelters? I found one of my cats there once after a week. It turns out he went into a moving van when someone in the neighborhood moved out. Someone in the new and strange neighborhood found him eating their dog's food and took him to the pound. I had been haunting the shelters in Los Angeles up until then when I finally found him fifteen miles away and in a cage.

 for you and sending come home now please vibes to Mordechai...

As others have said, I too have an image of a corrugated metal building... inside, dusty - brown dirt, not sand, cement floor, white or plain metal walls, can't tell the size... hope that helps

Here's a google image that is pretty close to my mental image:

:hippie: :loveya:

Edit: I'm feeling in the corner, left side, boxes. I dunno... but that is just the images that keep coming into my minds eye when I try to contact Mordechai.

Usually missing pets bring neighbors together.

Anyway, I've had cats go missing for up to a week, so let's just see what happens.

The kitten may have taken up with some other folks.

Still putting positive energy out there re: this situation.

30. Don't despair. My stepdaughter's cat disappeared for three weeks.
Someone called us then and told us there was a cat lurking around their house that had a tag with our number on it. My husband and I went to the people's house that was three miles down the road and sure enough it was our missing cat. He had a scab and fur missing on his flank. We took him to the vet and the vet said it was a bad burn that was healing. We think he got under the hood of someone's car in the neighborhood, was burned by something in the engine and was able to jump out at a stop sign which was close to where we found him. It was just too far away for him to find his way home. Fortunately, the people who found him had been feeding him up until then when they were able to get close enough to him to read his tag.

32. Ok, maybe this sounds crazy, but I'm remembering the idea that cats and other animals communicate
with "thought-forms", sort of a visual vocabulary. I've experimented with this a little (just for the halibut, as they say :)) and have had some success in directing my little fur-baby to her doggie door when she stands at the back door and barks. I just visualize her trotting around to the doggie door and "send" the message to her...and it really seems to work...that or operant conditioning, I don't know! :)

So, I've been sending Mordechai little thought-forms that I thought might be useful in helping him come home, but maybe since you know more specifics and are closer, it would be something for you to try.

I always like to have something concrete to do when I'm anxious so I thought I'd pass this along even if it might seem a little goofy...it can't hurt! I think he'll be home safely, I really do.

It works best for me on dogs.
For me, with cat's, my success seems to depend more on if they WANT to do whatever it is. :)

38. This happened with me
five days Lucifer was gone. I'd given him up and mourned him. He came strutting back home hungry but not hurt in any way. After I finished hugging his Orangeness I wanted to spank him! This was years ago. He died at age 18 from cancer, not from running away.

So I hope the same for your kitty.

I have felt her at times when I requested help. If I get advice and I don't follow through I get a mental (painless) paw bop to the head! She may dote on my furkids but will not tolerate stupidity from me :o

I am glad you don't mind that I asked for her help on behalf of your furbaby.

Not sure if this helps, but I get that he's in a round shaped space.... when he stands, the top is about 5 inches taller than him. he's not confined I don't think...he's just there to hole up for warmth maybe? Like a little igloo sorta but not in the snow. more cardboard or wooden.

I sure hope he comes back soon.

45. Come home, Mordechai, kitty, kitty...
My good old cat Callie, for whom I name myself, was missing for a week as a kitten. She got caught in someone's garage before they went on vacation. She came home thinner, and complaining, but healthy and whole. And lived for 19 years after that!

More recently, my skinny cat Simon, went missing. After a few days, we put flyers up around the neighborhood and in people's doors. We live in a college town, and the day after I put out the flyers, a young woman called us. She and her roommates had taken Simon in, thinking he was lost, it was cold (not that cold!). But he didn't get along with her cat, so she took him to the pound that morning! My husband went down to the pound, couldn't find him at first, but I could see his picture on the pound's web site, so I insisted he keep looking. Sure enough, Simon was hiding under a blanket. Now my husband tells people Simon is his hero, ran away from home and shacked up with coeds. :-)

Here's hoping Mordechai will be home safely soon!
