1. I've posted this many times before so please pardon the redundancy.

This miraculously appeared in my inbox when I was really down many years ago.

Just reading it whenever I was in pain helped tremendously.

"BLESSING

I send you light to hold you in love.

I send you light to heal you in love.

May you love, honor, and cherish the preciousness and uniqueness of your own being and of each other being in this world.

May you see your own goodness and beauty reflected wherever you look. May you be contented and appreciative of all life's bountiful gifts.

May the splendor and majesty of your being guide your thoughts, words, and actions.

May your pain and fear be transformed into strength,
understanding, and compassion.

May the shining light of your being radiate peace and harmony wherever you are.

May you be suffused with happiness, joyfully celebrating each day you are alive.

May you be abundant in all wealth and rich in generosity,
sharing your feelings freely.

May you be a soothing balm of kindness and a fragrant blossom of love to everyone you meet.

May you be well whole and healthy.

May the great love and compassion of your heart embrace and help to redeem the suffering of all beings everywhere.

May the inner light of your purity and perfection dissolve the clouds of discord, despair, and conflict.

May the intelligence and wisdom of your infinite mind give you clarity in a confusing world.

May you trust that you are loved, cared for and supported by the infinite always.

May you possess the precious magic jewel of gratitude that
transforms all life into a paradise.

May pause for a moment each day to remember this blessing upon you, and calling forth the full power and magnificence of your own being, may you pass it on to all beings everywhere.

I send you light to hold you in love.

I send you light to heal you in love. "

3. Though Stella's Blessing is probably just what you're looking
for, the site linked below has prayers for all occasions and from all faiths. When I need help expressing sympathy, or something else hard to put into words, I will often quote from this site. Peace.

4. the One I Love That Comforted Me when Mom Died
I know it is used a lot but now sometimes I watch a sunset and think, "Mom!" My sister lives where there are eagles and she knows their habits. She said recently, shortly after our dad died, she saw two eagles flying wing to wing and sort of "talking" to each other. Even though they were side by side, one would call and the other one "answered" as if in conversation. She said in all the 35 years the eagles have nested nearby she had never seen anything quite like that. She said she was sure it was Mom and Dad discussing something they should have discussed while here on earth (LOL) ~ but they were also letting her know they were fine and together. I think she and I see those things now partly because of the poem below ...

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day. This is a great poem for those of us who have lost our mothers.

6. Ok. That made me cry.
Really. Don't get me wrong as I really like it but it just made cry like a baby. I guess I needed to read that this morning.
