Hi everyone, I wanted to share this video about the Shamanic use of hallucinogens and an American explorer who traveled throughout Latin America to document and participate in all the Shamanic rituals with these substances.

Although the highlight might seem to be about mind altering plants it is so much more.
There is so much more we have yet to discover.

I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but I will as soon as I get the time.

In case you missed the BookTV In Depth episode with Alice Walker it is well worth it. It's a whole 3 hours of delightful conversation.

There was a caller who inquired about her Ayahuasca experience. Later the interviewer asked her to elaborate on her use. She told an extraordinary journey, and how the drug was used in Rituals, however, one of her trips to South America wasn't as pleasant because of some of the people from the US who went there to "party" and how it wasn't just her who didn't understand the partiers mindset, and how the partiers had gone off in a corner and started having sex, while everyone else there were trying to participate in the Ritual of Ayahuasca.

Anyway it was an excellent interview. Worth watching.
