Astrologers .. professional and casual ..
I was just discussing astrology, making excuses for my poor aptitude, and it occurred to me ..
there might be something valid in my .. BIRTH CHART!!

So, I'm wondering. What about astrologers' charts, in your opinions, give you the talent, interest, abilities, curiosity, PATIENCE to do astrology? What other traits do you use?

2. A strong relationship between the Luminaries and/or Mercury and Uranus or
an elevated or angular Uranus or in some cases, the personal planets and/or Lumanaries influenced strongly by the transpersonal (outermost) planets tend to influence people into being drawn to symbolic language of all sorts, amongst other things.

That's the Reader's Digest version explanation but your question reminds me of a conversation I once had many years ago.

I was tutoring a dear friend in astrology so we were indulging in more astro rap than her then lover could handle.

He said, "I don't CARE if Uranus is transvestiting and Mercury is regurgitating !!!"

That statement was hysterical in itself on a whole lot of levels.

I said, "Oh of course you don't believe in astrology. You have Saturn in Aquarius." He walked away looking a bit exasperated. LOL

(Oh the joy of being salary and not getting paid for overtime. :() It cracked me up! (It's still bringing a smile to my face.)

Thanks for lightening my spirits, stella! :D

3. Funny stuff
You have to have a strongly aspected Uranus, or Aquarian energies or Significant Chiron, I find. Mostly strong Uranus in almost all of my students. Fixed energies, (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius) help you stick with it, or a strong Saturn.

4. After reading Stella's and Rick's posts...I have Venus conjunct Chiron in Aquarius,
opposing Uranus, with Venus/Chiron in the 8th, Uranus in the 2nd. There are other aspects to my Uranus, but those are the tightest, most significant ones.
