Aura Patches
I'm having gastrointestinal issues and have talked to 5 different doctors who will say nothing beyond "take these pills." Desperate for info about probiotics/diet/etc., I finally found an M.D. who is also an allopath, naturopath, chiropractor! Among other things, she recommended the use of Aura Patches - one for stress, another to help me sleep, and a third to stimulate my body to fight off bacterial infections. She only had the Stress patch in stock, so that's what I'm using now. After 4 days I'm not sure if it's working or not, as my stress level goes up & down anyway depending on how I feel physically & what fears/thoughts are going through my head!

Has anyone ever tried these patches? They are supposedly programmed with energetic frequencies that stimulate your cells to resonate properly. I don't know if it's a bunch of hooey or if there's something to it. Thoughts on these patches or resonant frequency therapies in general? Experiences?

Here's their website...

4. homeopathic patches
I haven't heard of these, but it seems homeopathic remedies in patches are in vogue. There is another type that I have heard of which actually has some studies on them, but I forget the brand name! (not too helpful). People seem to like them.

I'd love to hear if they work.

12. Ouch! $90 for a month's supply
That's a bit much just to try them out. The Aura patches are more affordable, and I'd walk around looking like I'm about to get an EKG if I knew for sure they work. Unfortunately, there are too many other things affecting my stress level to know if the patch is helping at all. Wish I would have passed on that and tried another one instead.

18. oh THAT was the reason
I didn't try them. Well, at least it is money back if they don't work!! I guess you pay more if they are marketed to pro athletes (and they are).

6. Aura Patches
Hello, I just saw your email and wanted to let you know that I
am very familiar with the Aura Patches. I have Lupus as well
as many other immune system
dysfunctions. I tried the Aura patches a few months ago for
the flu and I had such a quick turn around 2days(usually I am
sick for several weeks) So I began
to try the others..ie Candida, Stress, Energy & Stamina
with all great results.
My favorite one is the Weight Loss Patch. I have already lost
16lbs...yipee!

I felt this product was so cutting edge and helpful to me, I
decided to sell it to my clients as well. I am a
Hypnotherapist/Holistic practitioner.

I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me and my
clients.
If you have questions feel free to email me.

Cheers,

Roshann

14. Did you sign up just to spam this list?
What do you do, google the product you're selling, then sign up at sites where you find a reference and act like you're giving an unbiased testimonial?

But, other than that, why don't you stick around, not try to sell things, and participate in the conversations here. Welcome to DU.

19. If you go to the link she provided, you'll see 'Aura Patches' are prominently featured.
lame.

I am highly skeptical of slapping on a patch 'programmed with energetic frequencies that stimulate your cells to resonate properly'

What do they have, an assembly line of shaman 'programming the energetic frequencies' of band-aids? I think your money would be better spent elsewhere. For instance a yoga or meditation class if the problem is stress rather than a medical condition.

9. here is what my physical therapist
would probably say. Your psoas muscle is locked up. This muscle attaches from the inner thigh to the abdomen. When I first started working with my PT 2 years ago, I was taking acid reflux pills which my doc told me would be a life long thing. Within a couple of sessions, and doing the stretching exercises he taught me, I am almost completely heartburn free. When I start to feel that burning sensation, I do my psoas stretches.

My partner thought he was having an appendicitis attack, went to the PT and bam, worked that psoas muscle and he has been fine ever since.

http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:nJsL8ZmjeRsJ::

here is a picture of the muscle location. If you put your own hand about half way between your pubic bone and belly button toward your right hip, you will find the place that the muscle tightens...when Bill works that muscle, it almost feels like he is trying to rupture some organ, but it is just the trigger point of the muscle!

When I asked him how to find someone like him, he suggested that you find a board certified, sports therapist or chronic pain therapist.

Good luck with all that.

11. there was one that was similar
Edited on Tue Jul-01-08 06:09 PM by BareNakedLiberal
lying on your left side bring your left leg to a 45 degree angle and roll the trunk of your body so that it faces the table or floor directly with your right arm streched up. Now making sure to keep your trunk rolled forward, rotate the straightened right leg so that your toes point directly toward the ceiling. This is very difficult, but gradually, you can stretch your right leg. To help stretch the muscle after you have completed this stretch is to lie on your left side and keeping the legs straight, run your thumb on the line between the hip bone and the muscle behind it. It may sort of feel like another bone. By digging into the hip on the backside of the bone, you can help loosen the muscles more quickly.

Another is to lie on the side of the bed with your legs and feet hanging down over the edge of the bed, Now find the psoas muscle end at the place between the belly button and the pubic bone and work into that trigger point.

Good luck with balancing the flora!

15. The 'not sure if it's working or not' should tell you.
How long did your doctor say they should take to work? I'm skeptical of things that you have to wishful think into working.

16. She said it would be slow & subtle
But one webpage said the Stress patch works quickly (2 days). Then another page said use 2 Stress patches until stress subsides, then only one afterwards. I'll never know if it's working, but I guess it's not hurting. Wish I had tried a different kind first. oh well.

I like your phrase "wishful think into working." Good advice.
