The meditation starts waaaaaaay down the page. If you don't feel comfortable invoking the spirit beings the author suggests it can be done leaving out all of those parts simply using the image of connecting your major chakras to those of your higherself as described. I did this once several years ago and it felt good but nothing major happened. I keep saying I will try it again but have yet to take the time to do it properly :o

If you are on a consumation path DO NOT do this meditation.
This is a Bhodisitva cultivation.As such there is nothing inherently wrong or evil or anything untoward with this type of spiritual path.It is just a differant path.
If you are interested in helping people see the light then by all means give it a go.
However if you are on a path that leads to ending the cycle of samsahra this type of cultivation can negate any progress made toward that end.(Any type of quanyin cultivations does this.)The two types of cultivations use differant energy mechanisms and when mixed can cause problems,not just for the student,but for the teacher and in some cases those people who are around the cultivator.

I find your input fascinating, and especially because I have many questions about my "path".

There are two types of buddha school enlightenment cultivations.
One school teaches what is known as the buddhahood path.It is geared toward riding the student of all karma and ending the cycle of death and rebirth and allowing the student to pass on to higher levels of existance or nirvana.
Falun Gong,Krishna Consciousness and many other taoist and buddha schools follow this path.

The bohdisattva path,aka guanyin or avalokitesvara paths,are for those who wish to remain in in this level of existance in order to help others reach enlightenment.(Quanyin is the name of a person who ,when offered the chance to escape this level of existance,chose to remain here instead of passing on to nirvana.The buddhas who were already there,so moved by her choice,each gave her a hand in order to lighten her load in her quest.Virtually every mudra taught originates from these buddhas gift to her.)
The Dalai Llamma is a good example of a quanyin cultivator.He has reincarnated several times to continue teaching his dharma.If he had chosen a buddha path instead he would not have reincarnated and instead passed on to nirvana.

Basicly,the two schools of thought have differant end goals.Mixing the two practices will negate any benefits recieved from them for that reason.It is sorta like going to medical school to become a lawyer.Or vice versa.
