Please help me through this crisis, in the way that you folks do

My application for an apartment has been unexpectedly denied,
and I have about two weeks to figure something out.

The credit and income check passed, but not the landlord references,
and I can't think of any good reason why.
I just found this out a little while ago from one of my friends who would
be taking the apartment with me, I haven't had a chance yet to speak with the
actual deniers, that is all I know at this point.

It's a very uncomfortable feeling to be blamed for something that you don't feel you deserve. I hope that everything is able to be worked out for the highest good of all involved.

I will pray for you, and I'll be sending you calming energy.

Did you give your current landlords name for a reference? Do you have a former landlord who would give you a reference? I ask this because being a retired realtor, with much experience in rental leases (found apts. for Yale students and Grad students), I've always found that it's best to skip your most recent landlord. The reason is, if you've been a good tenant, and paid your rent on time etc., they will give a bad reference just to keep you where you are.It stinks, but it's a fact. Many rental property owners don't like to have turnovers, because it costs them money to repaint, and make repairs if needed. If this doesn't help, I will be praying for something better to come up. is not an easy thing and a constant battle with self. You do your best, ask for what else you can do and sometimes in it's own time..it will reveal itself.
But you have to let go of fear, live in the Now (I know, Rick, I am an Aries), because you will start spinning all sorts of negative scenarios if you think about tomorrow.
Try to ground yourself - see and feel the Now - nothing else and let go. Then, just trust universe, ask that you will perceive, right timing and all, and act in the best interest of All. Tell universe you need the security of a roof over your head to continue your journey, and that you will find a way.
