Would this be wrong?
Or is there something we could do?

I saw last night on Keith Olbermann that some guy from Foundation on the Family (or something like that - some religious freak) is asking his followers to pray for rain at the Dem Convention to show the world that Obama is wrong from the country.

Can we counter that as a group - somehow? I know I'll be praying for a huge rainbow, but maybe that makes me as low as them.

1. Denver could use the rain. What a shame it's being used as a curse by a "man of god"
I have so little tolerance anymore.

3. The man does not seem to want the best for the greater good,
IMHO and that is sad for him. We simply cannot afford four more years of Bush, so come rain or come shine, our hearts will be united for Obama. :woohoo:

4. You'll be happy to see this......
I live in Denver and the local news had this article on its website today. Apparently some of the Focus members complained about it and they pulled the video.

6. I strongly suspect that it's because there were members of...
Focus on the Family who live in Denver who complained. :eyes:

(I hate to be skeptical about their compassion, but the past has proven that they only care about themselves and "their kind", at least in my opinion.)

7. Truthfully, I think there is going to be a lot of this negative type of
calls for prayer against Obama and the Democrats. We probably need to get our own positive prayers going to counter this. I was just thinking this morning about it. I was raised in the Catholic tradition and one of the prayer tools we were taught was the novena. A novena was a prayer ritual to a particular saint for a particular favor. Different prayers were said three times a day for nine days. Completing the cycle is supposed to get the attention of the saint by repetition and therefore results for what you are petitioning for. I think the format predates Christianity because of the use of triples of triples back to a more distant past when people prayed to the triple goddess.

So maybe we need to start saying novenas for Obama's success in November to whichever spirit entities you attempt to contact across the veil. Usually, words that rhyme are used in short prayer petitions. Sometimes you say the same prayer each time. Other novenas change the prayers daily to increase the power of the words. Of course little rituals can accompany this like lighting a votive candle while you recite the words. Since I like to deal with faery entities, I would probably summon the Oak man faery first to give the blessings of wisdom to the candidate for the first nine days. I then might petition a protector faery for the next nine days to deflect all smears and untruths the opposition might throw at him. The process of inventing the words and saying them keeps focus on the task at hand and invites the needed spirit into your petition.

Anyway, this is what I will do. I believe everyone else will know which rituals work for them. The point is that we have to do it and can't let up until BushCo is on their way out of office on January 20, 2009.

8. I can tell you,
having lived in the Denver area, that rainbows are a very common sight. Double and even triple rainbows.

And why would rain be so bad anyway?

10. Accentuate the Positive, Eliminate (*Transmute*) the Negative
Turn their psychic garbage into beautiful fertile compost that is in turn used to nourish and heal all of America (or at least the parts willing to accept this offering in what ever manner serves them best).

It is like the old saying when life hands you lemons make lemonade. Well why not make it even better and use the energy to make something wonderful for as many as possible? Maybe offering a good chunk of the purified energy to the Earth and the nature spirits in charge of that region might be of help. I wonder what is so terribly disturbed in the land there that so many fundamentalist groups have set up shop in that area :hide: Some sort of negative vortex, black leylines, something else? something defintly creepy in that area is the denver airport murals :hide:

Whenever possible when I encouter harmful energy I try to transmute it. I use Reiki w/the symbol ChuKuRei which is wonderful at breaking it down, I ask all beings of light willing to help to do so, I ask the Earth to take it for composting directly which she often can.

11. Great ideas - one and all!
I am definitely going to do all that I can and take all the suggestions above and use. I hope you will also mention it to your friends. We need this - and there is alot of negativity out there against him. And us.
