-----Why in Autumn do we want to match the animals in nature and hibernate? The energy on the planet changes. This energy is called life-force energy, Christ-force energy, Universal energy, Supreme Being's energy. In the Autumn this energy is drawn down into the Earth. Outwardly, the leaves are drawn off the trees. Inwardly, we experience feeling drained. But the good news is that the energy that is draining is most likely not our own anyway. We took on someone's energy (thoughts, emotions) and obligingly, or in most cases, ignorantly carried it around, until the fall season draws our attention back to ourselves where we experience a change in energy within and around us. That is one of the purposes of the seasons, to be different from all the others so that we notice changes we might not have if everything stayed the same. Each season prompts us to reflect (go inward). It makes us pause to review our lives.
With Autumn equating to the harvest time of year, what have we harvested in our lives? Well, it depends what type of seeds we have planted. If tomato seeds were planted, we would expect tomatoes. If we planted negative thoughts, guess what will be reaped during harvest time? Positive thoughts and ideas? Guess again! We are farmers with our thoughts, ideas and emotions as much as a farmer who uses soil as his medium. That is why it is so important to put our attention on what we truly want to experience, and then create the correct atmosphere (attitude or medium) for that to manifest (your mock-ups). How successful would a farmer be if he planted tomato seeds but then never watered, fed, or weeded that area? It isn't enough to want to experience something. We must create the receptive environment for it to show up so that our harvest is a successful one! The Autumn Equinox symbolizes harvest time outwardly and inwardly.
Because the Autumn Equinox happens during the time of year when people generally slow down, it is a great time to get rid of all the excess baggage before New Years so we can start anew with a clean slate. Why have there always been festivals and celebrations during the turning points, the four seasons of the year? To communally and outwardly energize the blessings of our lives.------

As we welcome September and celebrate Labor Day, we honor the hard work and ingenuity of working men and women, we begin the new school year...September brings us the Fall Equinox and harvest time...we remember that there is a time for everything under the sun...a time to work, a time to play, a time for dying and a time for growth.
Together, let us embrace our own times of letting go and transformation.

Let's join in heart and spirit and revel in what ties us together and makes us whole, counting blessings and practicing gratitude for all we have been given and that which makes us who we are.

Let us be thankful for all of our trials and tribulations, they are the lessons that have shaped and formed us and brought us to this time of possibilities. Let us envision a time of peace and a time of renewed spirit, sharing and honoring the light and love in all.

Hey everyone,

well the HUD people passed the house and we have signed the papers and been moving boxes fot the past two days.
Thing is, my OLD injury (from 1991) and my shoulder totally tweaked and I can't even move my right arm above my waist!!!

I am hugely gratefull that my sister and best friend came over to help ...and my teen was good help too.
It was very clear that may be God "benched" me so I would actualy ASK for help!
The movers come tomorrow at 8 am
My litle ones come "home" to their new room in the afternoon

PLease send reiki for my arm
strength for the rest for my poor tired bod
and ease for tomorrow night and the first day of school to follow (eeek! Tuesday!!!)
And the ability to pay the rest of the rent fast and easy

I hope to get in and see the doc tuesday, that I won't ned an mri...maybe just a cortisone shot to stop the swelling

He's checking into the hospital tomorrow to try to get it under control, but it's staph, so whatever light you can send would be good.

Healing energies to Jerry G. - may he rest and recover.

My Grandmother has a hammer toe that has some sort of infection going. She went on antibiotics last week and is seeing the specialist today. The whole foot is swollen and painful to her. Between this and her poor kitty Leo she couldn't sleep last night. Leo has fleas bad in spite of repeated dosing of frontline. He is to be switched to advantage but he has to wait a few more days so he doesn't od on chemicals. To try to help in the mean time the vet recommended capstar which kills adult fleas but that is only temp as the eggs hatch and as of last night was digging and scratching like mad again :( We sprayed floors and even took down my Mom's dyson to vacuume up both rugs and linoleum floors before that to suck up as many eggs as possible. It was then emptied outside into a resealable baggie and put right in the trash.

My Mom has a spot on her nose that is either rosacea or probably a skin cancer. she has previously had one removed from the back of her neck that was malignant but not the worst kind. I think it was called a carcinoma. I am afraid this one is the same and she is due soon to have the specialist take another look at it after using a rosacea cream for a month. I am not sure if he plans on just taking it or doing a biopsy first if he thinks it not improved. In either case please send good vibes for the best possible outcome.

I would also like to ask for help for my and my Mom's kitties. There are a couple who are bullies who won't let up and even double team their victims. Then there are the usual targets who won't fight back. We can't stand to see them attacked so we separate the bad actors from the rest of the group for a time but then try to let them mix only to have another attack with flying hanks of fur and the attackee cowering and trying to flee. Harry is the worst for bullying the others and he is the biggest of the bunch. He can be so sweet and loving to my mom and I and sometimes the other kitties only to make a flying body slam that makes the floor shake and knocks the air of his target's lungs. I know Harry and probably a few others were abused before we got them so I figure this much too vigorous play comes from that but we don't know what to do other than keep them separated.


I would like to thank eveyrone who has been sending light and good vibes to my family. My Grandfather is in a cardiac rehab facility and it looks like he might be able to come home in the next few weeks! He is getting therapy every day and he is determined to do all he can to get home. Also last week my Mom had her eye surgery which was successful in removing the cloud film over her artifcial lens. Her eye doctor said 1 in 10 people who have cateract removal get it. She can see clearly and is relieved to have that over and done with. Oh and her other eye has the beginning of a cateract but it thankfully still in the early stages and so she won't need surgery any time soon.

I can't do it. That's why I'm posting in the prayer thread.

Mentally, I am stuck. I don't even WANT to "think positive". I've entered a deep funk. Had one last month too. I am so full of fear, that I cannot even take on more. I've gone numb rather than feel the fear. But numb hurts. I haven't been welcoming it and enjoying it. I should try that, maybe. Tao.

If I need to be thankful for feeling this way .. guess I'll try.

Great opening. I'm going to take some of those ideas to women's group this week. We are celebrating the season.

edit: Insomnia is back. I was doing well for a few weeks. Sleep. It's such a strange thing to me.

PS, for the insomnia, what have you tried? I went through about two weeks of it and it knocked me badly. I've added a B Complex to my regimen. I tried a homeopathic remedy that helped too.

approach the prayer thread this way. We do have to find it within ourselves to be thankful for these things that try our very souls. You have far more company than you know in being stuck and not being able to do this. And all I know is that if you can step back and look at your strengths, you will realize everything in your life has been for a reason. In the darkest days we face, it's the silver lining we rarely acknowledge.

It seems crazy to look at the worst things that have happened to us and be thankful for them. We logically think we have to push those things aside in an attempt to block what we view as bad. It's our thinking about it as bad, and not accepting perhaps the one & only beautiful thing about our sorrows that makes us get stuck. It doesn't mean we celebrate the bad, it's more of understanding that it made us somehow better, somehow more resilient, but always & I do mean ALWAYS, wiser. Getting past our past, removing the roadblocks is essential.

Have you tried melatonin or other remedies for your sleep problems? If your insomnia is not due to worrying, changing your diet might help, carbs are supposed to be soothing. I recall a book that was popular not long ago, Potatoes not Prozac? And B vitamins can be important. Better to look at the physical things first, they might help. I've been using melatonin sub-linguals with good effect for about 18 months.
I did remember that I had gotten away from a bed time meditation practice I posted here awhile back.
It worked so well helping me fall asleep that I didn't need it anymore! Now I do need to go back to it.

something in you though, hopefully it helps because I think we've all felt like this. We are doing our work for the equinox ;), cleaning out the cupboards before the new year coming up. It's a great topic for your women's group. I hope you can share some of the views with us later on.

It sure is awful when you know what you have to do, but feel so discouraged or withdrawn that you just don't even want to put out the effort to make things better anymore. I'm hoping this is temporary and that you're able to ride the tide through to better, happier days.

Being able to fall asleep is something that is so easy to take for granted until sleep either refuses to come to us or we wake up over and over throughout the night. I went through a bout at the end of last year, and I feel such gratitude that it's not currently a problem. I will remain grateful for it since insomnia really is such an awful thing while you're in the midst of it. You have my sympathy right now.

I wish that things would get better for you. I ask that the Universe, via grace, help you to know the correct steps to take to resolve the issues that currently haunt you. :hug:

and in full control freak/anxiety mode. They offered to get a live in nurse - no she doesn't want anyone in the house but her and her husband. They want to send someone to do more rehab at home - no, it will cost too much and someone who did years ago when he had a stroke didn't do a good job. They want her to apply for mainecare to see if it will cover what medicare and their supplement won't cover and she keeps delaying doing anything like it is just going to all go away if she ignores it. Poor Gram. I know how easy it is to get all wound up like this and how hard it is to unwind myself. I know she was stressed out for some time now worrying and dreading that something like this would happen him falling and having a heart attack and now it has and it is all coming out in control freak behavior when my MOm and I go and do some chores for her since her foot is hurt and needs to stay elevated. Nothing we do is the correct way and she has to stand there and supervise instead of sitting and resting.

Her husband is doing pretty good in the rehab center. His color and alertness is much better than most of the folks there that we saw. He is so looking forward to coming home so I hope he really is doing as good as he appears and all of Grams worries are proven wrong. If he truly has difficulties they will take him back to the rehab center and work with him some more. Before the heart attack he had to use a wheeled walker but could dress and shower himself, go to the bathroom and feed himself on his own. He couldn't cook unless it was something quick like a fried egg and get himself drinks and cereal. I think that is wonderful for a man with multiple spinal fractures that have fused, Parkinson's, and arthritis over 90!

She just admitted to getting nerved up because her Mother is as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I was giving her a back rub w/Reiki when she said her heart finally relaxed as it had been so tight feeling she thought she was going to have a heart attack :( I told her she was probably having an anxiety attack she caught from her Mother so I asked her to recite the affirmation 'I (state your name) release all responsibilities that are not truly my own.' My Mom is not normally self aware enough to tell what is her stuff and what is someone else's so I hope this will prove to her that she does pick up emotions and energy from others and that she needs to take the few moments necessary to shield herself each day or at least before being around someone in emotional turmoil. She is a caretaking personality so it is d****d hard to get her to take any time to care for herself. I know I can't change her only gently encourage her. Hopefully the dramatic difference she felt after I treated her and the way she felt before made an impression and will encourage this.

I'm so happy that your step granddad is doing so well. Going home will be good medicine for him, I suspect.

Much love also to your mother, who you discuss in a separate post here. May her self-awareness continue to grow so that she does what she needs to do to take care of herself. You can't give what you don't have.

I'm still stressed about it, but I did a little meditation/"astral chat" with the family, and sent some pink light over there, so I'm hoping for the best right now. Cross fingers!

I've placed mirrors in my windows, and the little love vibration pictures, but nothing seems to ward off the disrespect of my neighbors (on both sides, but to varying degrees). I keep asking myself what I've done to bring this kind of stuff into my life - I'm a good neighbor; why am I not receiving/reaping what I'm sowing?

Quite honestly, I don't know why you and I continue to be burdened with these people. (Last year, I did a spell to improve their fortuntes and move them to a better house--all big pluses for them. No dice. They're still here.) I'm assuming it's because I can learn something from them, but what that may be, I have no idea.

Anyway, the pink light can be challenging, but it always defuses bad situations. I also use it when Mr. MG and I have an argument. Basically you draw down light into your crown chakra and then beam it (in pink) out your heart chakra toward the person you're having a conflict with. They calm down, you calm down, and before you know it, barriers drop and you work it out and everything's better.

However, it's difficult because you have to send the pink light with the purest of intentions and no lingering resentments/ill will. That can be tough when you have to send it to annoying neighbors with very few redeeming qualities!

Seriously honey, if you can afford it, you really really need to fence in your yard. Those stockade fences so they can't get through. I know you really don't want to do this, but I dont know if you have another choice. They've been nothing but a royal pain in the butt since you moved in.

argh. I am on my last nerve and I think my Mom is nearly so as well. Gram is wound up like a ten day clock and won't discuss things that need doing to help her husband when he comes home, even things that would help her too like putting in a ramp over the front steps. They think my stepGrandad might be OK to come home soon if they are allowed to send people to do rehab at home & Gram won't consider letting strangers into the house. She had a bitten into a lemon look on her face when it was brought up no matter how many times the caseworker promised it was only a hour or so a day not having someone move in. argh.

His incarceration has some political overtones which I shall not delve into.

I will say that if he is incarcerated, anybody can be.

Thankfully it will be for a very short time--a year or less.

This is a man who had a full career, is educated and who, in the process of arriving at his current circumstances, lost almost everything. Imagine losing your job, your retirement after more than two decades and then being incarcerated.

I like to believe in justice and karma and all that...and perhaps this karma is earned by him unbeknownst to me. It just does not seem that way.

Irregardless, he needs as many prayers as he can get for making it through the end of what has been a hellious journey.

Pray for his health as well.

We are kinda just getting along ok..making payments, but just barely. Things are still very much up in the air. It seems the old job may be on it's way to coming back around (lots of upheaval at that club; and they've been through 4 or 5 djs since husband has left); but no word as yet. New job is ok, but the money has not really gotten any better and several things that were promised have not been followed through with. This week will be especially tight. I am feeling all sorts of guilty for not being able to do things for baby boy that he should be doing right now. Having to rely on cell phones because home phone was turned off..other than that, I think we are ok, but I won't know for sure until I get to the bank this morning. I admit I am scared. I've managed to come off the anger, but am distracting myself so that I don't realize how much time is going by, etc.

Any supportive thoughts you can spare are greatly needed. I hope something is in the works soon. Thank you. :hug:

So far, he gets to keep his leg, but I'm not sure whether he's out of the woods yet re: the MRSA infection and a clot in it which developed a couple of days ago. Any positive energy would be of use to him, I'm sure.
