December 2008 Prayer, Light, and Healing Requests

As we walk through each day of this often too hectic month, let our underlying intention be to spread our light and love simply by being who we are.

May we find ourselves strongly connected with our source – whomever or however you name it. May we live our inspiration.

Many thanks to OhioBlues, who did an outstanding job with the November Prayer, Light, and Healing Thread. All requests that are still in need of light and prayer are carried over into this new thread.

MG Jr. has been sick with one thing and another since just after school started. His latest illness just won't quit--it's been going on for about two weeks, but it's been especially bad the past few days. He's had a fever and a runny nose and has been vomiting a bit--and has a cough that won't quit, preventing him from sleeping so he can heal. I've been doing some healing on him, but this one is a toughie. Of course if he doesn't start to improve in the next day or so I'm going to take him to the doctor, although she's pretty hands off when it comes to periodic viruses, so I'm not sure she'd have any recommendations for dealing with this one.

He's doing better already--still sick, and home from school, but he slept most of the night without coughing. :hug:

However, as he comes along I will continue to ply him with curious remedies and preventatives. Because I am getting sick of him being sick! The little booger-magnet! Right now I am helping him work on his shielding technique; maybe once he goes back to school it will help him repel the many and varied germs his classmates bring to school as well as negative vibes.

To our friends. I'm feeling a disturbance in the force. I feel pretty insulated from it, so I'm happy to share my good fortune with those stuck in the eye of the storm.

It's like some of us have dodged this bullet solely so we can boost up those who are undergoing this trial by fire. Nice how the Universe helps us take care of one another!

Also :rofl: about "a disturbance in the force"--MG Jr. just watched Star Wars for the first time and is playing with the Lego Star Wars video game. He LOVES the force--realizes it's the same as magic--and vastly prefers to be a jedi knight when he's playing the video game. I have a little jedi! :D

I will certainly pray that they be assisted as much as possible so that their transition is quick and easy. May they help and comfort each other along the way. I will also ask that those who love them are able to find peace through knowing that they're still connected through love. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

I think I have a polyp in my colon. I have had a bad localized pain today.

At times these past weeks, when faced with things that scared me greatly, I would say to myself 'I am protected' and know it was true. Your light and loving vibrations are quite powerful and I am humbled by them.

the station's phone so I could try to get in touch with my roommates tonight. (I got stranded there after the roads became undriveable and couldn't get through to anyone for almost an hour.) She let me make a lot of calls. Nice lady.

And special light for me because I was almost in a serious accident today (thanks, Universe!). I'm a little shaken up.

is this another close call? Seems like you recently mentioned another near miss.
Do you recall, a couple of months ago, I posted, because I was almost getting in an accident nearly every day. I was driving a lot for work. I discovered that one of my head lights was out. That can't be the explanation for all cases, because sometimes it was daylight. But I fixed the headlight and did some other maintenance on my car. I am back to normal driving. Maybe you need to do some routine check on your auto. Check the tire pressure, for example. There might not be anything causing these things right now, but perhaps your attention needs to be drawn to your car? Take care!

and sudden, heavy snowfall tonight. We may have to put chains on our cars before we drive them again, though. I'm a good, prudent driver, but there's only so much you can do to protect yourself from the reckless, irresponsible and ole' mother nature.

May you be surrounded by extra protection while traveling.

I'm asking for _____________?

I have tried very hard to not give my divorce any energy because it seemed to take over my life for quite a while (in fact, I think it's been about a year since I've mentioned it), so I've sat back, relaxed and trusted the universe...but I'm still not divorced and I just can't stand it anymore.

I recently wrote a letter to the universe asking that I be released from this union and I outlined everything I learned (and asked if he still had lessons to learn that they be taught by someone other than me.) I thought for sure we'd be done before Thanksgiving, but we're not.

I have a milestone birthday coming up on 1.2 and I so want this done before then. I'm supposed to be having all of these major planetary alignments (7 in total, I believe) and my "new" life is supposed to start any second now. But this divorce has been going on for 3.5 years and I guess I've just run out of patience.

All he has to do is sign the papers and I'm free.

Seems I read something similar to your story in "Eat, Pray, Love" - she was in need of a divorce and had to write it out like you said you did in your letter to the Universe.

Here are prayers to your soon-to-be ex, that he let you go. Here are prayers to the Universe that your request is heard now. And here are prayers to you, so that your milestone birthday on 01/02 is spectacular and you receive your heartfelt desires.

I read Eat, Pray, Love last year and it gave me lots of strength and hope. I completely identified with her tortuous scene in her bathroom. (Ugh. I lived that for many months.)

I suggest that you do the following: sit down and make a list of what you are grateful for in reference to the relationship that you had with your soon-to-be ex-husband. These things could even be things like "I am grateful to him for making me realize that what I want is a healthy relationship where I'm respected". It could be that you're grateful to him for your daughter. (At least I seem to recall that you have a daughter together.) It could be that you're grateful for the good times that you had together (even if they were rare).

It is my understanding that expressing gratitude for things that you no longer want in your life may be the very thing that allows that thing to finally end so that you can make room for new things in your life. It's worth a shot... (The channeled being with whom I work mentioned this at one point.)

who was bitten by a Brown Recluse spider last week. He has two bites--one on his right elbow, the other on his right shoulder. He had a severe allergic reaction and was treated by the emergency room with prednisone and benadryl. Now his doctor has started him on a course of dapsone, which is a drug used to treat leprosy and other virulent skin infections.

I can't get enough sleep and wake up feeling like a energy vampire has stopped by and sucked the life out of me. I start to feel better for part of a day then it hits me again. Additionally I am sooooo chemical sensitive right now. luckily I am not this bad most of the time but I had trouble breathing this morning when my Mom used her favorite perfume. She keeps forgetting this stuff bugs me at the best of times and now it is really bad. I keep trying to turn her on to essential oils but so far it's a no go no matter how many times I tell her the toxic chemicals they put in most perfumes.

I spent a week in Houston going to the doc. I got an ultrasound.
Saw the doc Friday afternoon and got the verdict.

I have a kidney stone. That's much better than what I was afraid of.

It will cost money to get it pulverized, but it's not life-threatening at this point.

My daughter took the first plane out of there and it was two hours late. The people that got on standby on that plane were crying they were so happy. Some people have spent three nights in the airport. More than half of the flights were canceled.

The man who has done the driveway for years just blew his transmission and can't affford to get his plow truck fixed. He is trying to get someone to take over his route but this other man lives in another town and might not take any or all of the route. We just got hit here in Maine with snow nearly to my waist thanks to drifting. The driveway is big and is a royal pain to clear. Clearing the path to the drivway is hard enough on my back and I don't want to think about my Mom attempting it when I am not there to stop her. She isn't the sort to take things at a reasonable pace not that I want her doing any.

(the rest of this is rambled on about in another thread and realized I had to bring it here for prayers..)

had my intake appt w/ county mental svcs, going to get back into rigorous therapy and keep "scooping" out all this stuff, I know that is part of my own breakdown and depression these past few months (uh, year...okay, maybe longer) But the stressors in my life just don't seem to be letting up - hours cut at work, unknown how to get my life out of the poverty hole, worry about the kids, etc...

Wanna detox my liver & blood, so my autoimmune stuff can begin to clear too, (my skin is one hugs raw scab and I feel like I have leprosy because i look so ugly, the psoriasis is spreading to my face and hands, can't cover it...) I wanna cry just writing this. my skin is bleeding on all my clothes...and my joints are making me feel like I am 80!

meanwhile, my Bday is Jan 1st, and the 2nd is the 5 yr anniversary of leaving my abusive ex. It should be a celebration, but it also feels like the cellular memory of the last few weeks with him in hell are coming up alot. Like the emotional roller coaster is re-manifesting in other ways. I'd like to think it is just hormones, but that's just an excuse not to look at it.

and I am spending my birthday alone...
-friends are scattered to the four corners of the earth, or have other plans, or have families and loved ones to share with
-I have no life mate or love to hold me and make me feel special
-I have my kids, but they are sometimes more work than fun (usually)
so I'm gonna be 39 and I don't know what this next year will bring.

AS much as I want to feel like it is going to get better, and somedays I have more hope than others - I am swimming in uncharted waters right now and geting tired...
Got 2 job prospects coming up...one is my dream job and I want it so bad I can taste it
and I am really struggling against the fear of getting my hopes up, and the feelings of low self worth and ickyness that would make me self sabotage. I hope that by the time I get asked for an interview and such, that it will be later in January. Maybe by then I'l have more of a grip

*sigh* ..and the beat goes on....

EDIT TO ADD: and my kids are driving me nuts because I just wanna be alpne with my thoughts and just figure things out, but they are being siblings and I just wanna scream and throw them out in the garage! ack... I hate being this kind of funky mommy :cry:
