Wickfordbard's Capricorn New Moon report for Dec. 27th
Edited on Sat Dec-27-08 12:42 PM by Dover
Hi Wick :hi:

Was missing your Moon report and wondered if perhaps you are away for the holidays or having some storm-related problem with internet service? Hope you don't mind me posting it for you.

Hope you are safe and wishing you a wonderful New Year!
Thanks for all your wonderful contributions to this forum.

P.S. - Mars/Pluto is in conjunction now in early Capricorn. Very nasty, brutal, toxic energy if not refined. So we are likely to get some military activity, brutal crimes, storms, accidents, caustic anger, etc. over the next few days (began a couple of days ago). The Moon's energy is moving through Cap as well. So let's place our anger, aggression and ego energies into the collective, transformative arms of Pluto and put it to a use to benefit the planet.

1. I love this part...
Mars joins Pluto in Capricorn, exactly conjoining the day after the new Moon. Mars and Pluto have a lot in common: Mars rules the personal will, while Pluto is the higher octave of Mars and rules divine will. When they join forces, they generate the will power to transform our relationship to the physical world. We can stop global warming. We can stop war. We can stop hunger. We can stop the negative power of patriarchy. We just need the Will to do it. This Mars/Pluto conjunction has the power to transform the negative expression of the masculine patriarchy, which rules the world through domination and destruction.

This transformation of negative masculine energy is aided this new Moon by the Venus/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius. Venus is not only the power of love and sexuality, she is an aspect of the sacred feminine, the heavenly woman of wisdom. Joined with Neptune, this sacred wisdom says if we have unconditional love for ourselves, we can have unconditional love for everyone else. And we need to at this moment in our history, for we have never been so interconnected and dependent on each other.

Patriarchy has denied the power of the sacred feminine for thousands of years, and yet look at what this stubborn denial has brought us to. If we are to face the issues of our dying planet, we have to do it in the spirit of cooperation and peace. I saw the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still and was unsurprised that it was the power of feminine love and connectedness that saved the Earth.

We need to uplift and value feminine consciousness and wisdom if we are going to solve our collective problems. It was, after all, a woman who gave birth to the Savior. It isn't enough to give social equality to women if we don't value women's ways of being and knowing. We have to stop expecting women to act and feel like men.

..snip..

The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon at 7 Capricorn inspires us to do just that:A veiled prophet(ess) speaks, seized by the power of a god(dess). The ability to act as a mouthpiece for the revelation of a transcendent will and truth determining future action. A prophetess is a channel for Spirit as well as our inner intuition which can see the bigger picture. Learn to trust your feminine wisdom; let it guide your next steps. Although it might not be logical, it is most certainly the wise thing to do."

In fact the whole report is just so right on. I spent much of last night bathed in that feminine energy you describe, feeling such depths of love for this planet and it's inhabitants. Feeling heartsick about the destructive energies, feeling at one with Gaia and her distress as well as recognizing the necessity of this purification process, not giving into fear and becoming overwhelmed at the task ahead.... I didn't sleep much, but feel so rested, at peace and filled with love.

My last recollection was listening to a song, "Walking In The Air" (a rendition by Kenny Loggins on his December cd), which led me literally drifting off as though I was out of body, flying above the earth, overcome with compassion and connected to the All....and then sleep.

2. Am I paying attention to my 12 days of Christmas dreams?
Are you paying attention to your 12 days of Christmas dreams? They represent the 12 astrological months – they are a prophetic tools available to you during this season of endings and beginnings.

What day of Christmas is this? (27th)

Last night/this morning I dreamt that PE Obama is surrounded by women -- women who guard him jealously and who are very careful which women have access to him.

Women were trying to help O. and give him advise but any woman who was alone with him -- not alone in a room, but alone within view yet out of earshot of anyone else -- raised a chorus of whispers, was suspected of trying to seduce him, and became very unpopular. There was one in particular, a young, very attractive aide.

I thought maybe they were worried about a new Lewinski, and laughed because I had something to say to him too, but he reminds me too much of my younger brother to be um, my type.

I haven't dreamt of a president since Bill Clinton, when he sat under a tree and explained to me wtf his excuse was (it was a pre-Lewinski letdown on a difft topic and for the record I didn't buy his excuse but appreciated his attempt). Maybe that's the Lewinski connection in my mind.

3. That's so interesting!

I ALSO had an Obama dream just the other night which surprised me a little. While I was late to the fanclub (and still question some of his choices), I do feel a very deep affinity with him which has been kind of confusing on one level since as I said, I see his human side and the traps of power and a deeply corrupt system in which he is operating and have been cautious about expectations. I do feel that my energies are beginning to align now with him however. Slowly.

In the dream I'm not sure where we were (professional setting like an office), but there was a very deep and abiding affection between us. Not sexual in any way. It seemed to come out of a
soul recognition and respect for one another, although it did occur to me that others might interpret it differently...lol. And I felt very protective of and empathetic with him and his mission. End of dream (it was like a glimpse of a moment).

I peeked at Obama's chart and it just so happens that this Mars/Pluto/Moon conjunction in Cap is transiting his 11th House (friendships, group goals, etc) and is opposing his natal Venus which is in his 5th House (romance, self expression, children, among other things).
Jealousy? Uh huh, certainly a potential problem. Hmmmm.... no doubt a big challenge for Michelle
and the girls who must now share him with the world.
And Pluto will be sticking around for awhile in that opposition which certainly can arouse some significant sexual energies that are hard to resist or deny.
Uh boy....this will also be a test for Barrack. Love can be transformative, but with Pluto there is often something taboo about it. While society may not approve, it is truly not for us to judge. Jung had an ongoing affair with a woman whom he very rationally and clinically identified as his anima which I'm sure felt like a soul connection to both of them. Who knows. But they fed
each other in their mutual work.

4. So I did some googlin' - 27th is the second day of Christmas and according
to someone named "Merry Battles" who wrote a book, the day is related to Taurus.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_Holy_Days

However, if the days were to represent the days of the zodiac wouldn't it be
Day 1 - Dec 26 - Capricorn (Jan)
Day 2 - Dec 27 - Aquarius (Feb)?

5. If you can be patient, I think Wick will be able to answer that better than me.
I haven't studied the astrological connection to the twelve days. But if I were to guess, I'd
think that the twelve days are representative of the cyclic year which officially begins at Spring Equinox (Aries) and refers to the archetypal process of spiritual evolution that the signs represent, ending with 12th Night which is also referred to as "Epiphany" or time of manifestation and/or integration of the divine in human form (if I'm not mistaken).

But I'm sure Wick will be able to straighten it out for us when she returns.

6. Oh yes, and thanks.
I should wait for wickfordbard.

I did follow another link cited as a source for the '12 holy days' wikipedia article:

From another source cited in the 12 Days wikipedia article:

The Mystical Interpretation of Christmas
(the end of Ch. 4)
http://www.rosicrucian.com/mic/miceng01.htm#chapterIV
(this is a Rosicrucian document)

This is the beginning of the great cosmic drama "FROM THE CRADLE TO THE CROSS," which is enacted annually during the winter months.

Cosmically the sun is born on the longest and darkest night of the year when Virgo, the Celestial Virgin, stands upon the eastern horizon at midnight to bring forth the immaculate child. During the months next following, the sun passes through the violent sign of Capricorn where, mythically, all the powers of darkness are concentrated in a frantic endeavor to kill the Light-bearer, a phase of the solar drama which is mystically presented in the story of King Herod and the flight into Egypt to escape death.

When the sun enters the sign Aquarius, the water-man, in February, we have the time of rain and storms; and as the baptism mystically consecrates the Savior to his work of service, so also the floods of moisture that descend upon the earth soften and mellow it so that it may yield the fruits whereby the lives of those who dwell here are preserved.

Then comes the sun's passage through the sign Pisces, the fishes. At this time the stores of the preceding year have been almost consumed and man's food is scarce. Therefore we have the long fast of Lent which mystically represents for the aspirant the same ideal as that cosmically shown by the sun. There is at this time the CARNE-VALE, the farewell to the flesh, for everyone who aspires to the higher life must at some time bid farewell to the lower nature with all its desires and prepare himself for the passover which is then near.

In April, when the sun CROSSES the celestial equator and enters the sign Aries, the Lamb, the cross stands as a mystic symbol of the fact that the candidate to the higher life must learn to lay down the mortal coil and begin the ascent of Golgotha, THE PLACE IN THE SKULL; thence to cross the threshold into the invisible world. Finally, in imitation of the sun's ascent into the northern heavens, he must learn that his place is with the Father and that ultimately he is to ascend to that exalted place. Furthermore, as the sun does not stay in that high degree of declination but cyclically descends again toward the autumn equinox and winter solstice to complete the circle again and again for the benefit of humanity, so also everyone who aspires to become a Cosmic Character, a savior of mankind, must be prepared to offer himself as a sacrifice again and again for his fellow men.

This is the great destiny that is before every one of us; each one is a Christ-in-the-making, if he will be, for as Christ said to His disciples: "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater." Moreover, according to the maxim, "Man's necessity is God's opportunity," there never was so great an opportunity to imitate the Christ, to do the work that He did, as there is today when the whole continent of Europe is in the throes of a world-war and the grandest of all Christmas carols, "On earth peace, good will toward men," seems to be further than ever from its realization. We have the power within ourselves to hasten the day of peace, by talking, thinking, and living PEACE, for the concerted action of thousands of people does carry an impression to the Race Spirit when it is there directed, especially when the moon is in Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, which are the three great psychic signs best suited to occult work of this nature. Let us use the two and one-half days during which the moon is in each of these signs for the purpose of meditation upon peace--peace on earth and among men good will. But in so doing let us be sure that we DO NOT TAKE SIDES for or against any of the battling nations; let us remember at all times that everyone of their members is our brother. One is entitled to our love as much as another. Let us hold the thought that what we want is to see UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD lived upon earth, namely, peace on earth and among men good will regardless of whether the combatants were born on one side or the other of an imaginary line drawn upon the map, regardless of whether they express themselves in this, that, or the other tongue. Let us pray that peace may come upon earth; everlasting peace, and good will among all men, irrespective of all differences of race, creed, color, or religion. In the measure that we succeed in voicing WITH OUR HEARTS, not with our lips only, this impersonal prayer for peace, shall we further the Kingdom of Christ, for remember that eventually that is where we are all bound for,--THE KINGDOM OF THE HEAVENS where the Christ is "King of kings and Lord of lords."

7. Interesting! Thanks for finding that. I think that explains it really well.
Honestly, I'm still pondering our dreams about Obama and how similar they are in their message.
While they can be interpreted as our personal thoughts/feelings about Obama, I'm starting to
wonder if perhaps we both intuitively picked up on some personal event he's going through (which also might become public). Hope not. But the astrological info certainly points to that possibility.

Of course that astrological aspect could be interpreted a number of ways and relate
to a number of types of circumstances from intimate to more public power issues. The houses (5th and 11th), for instance, might suggest he is not wanting to compromise his personal vision with
that of the 'group's', or he might have to re-evalute some of his old and new friendships or deal
with petty jealousy and disagreements within his immediate circle. And then there are world events
and high level relationships with foreign and domestic persons, disagreements and power plays.
