OK.....you all have to hear this!!!

Earlier this evening, I was laying on the couch watching TV.Just finished watching a rerun of Ghost Whisperer before switching to Rachel's show at 9 P.M. I have two windows on the side of my house that I leave the blinds up on at night, because they just face the woods on the other side of the brook. These windows face North, and across the river, toward the west there are some mountains (not that high). I happened to glance out and saw "what I thought was the moon, hanging quite low and orangish colored, looking like a quarter moon, but oddly the quarter showing was UNDER the moon,rather than on one side or the other. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, so I got up to look more closely out the window, and sure enough there is was! I got kind of scared and I was going to rush in here to the computer to ask if anyone knew what was going on with the moon??? But first I dug out a calender that had the phases of the moon on it, and saw that the first quarter doesn't begin until Mon. the 2nd !!!! Then I rushed to my front door where the moon usually can be found at that time of night(front faces South) and the moon usually rises in the southeast here in Ct. and should have been just about overhead and making it's way west!!! No moon tonight, too cloudy!! By the time I got back over to the window where I saw it, it was........GONE..........Me thinks I just saw my first UFO! Shaped like a large wedge of melon and golden orange in color, and very BIG !!! I am beside myself with excitement... but definitely in awe!:bounce: :bounce: :wow: Love JA

I've book marked this! The "moon" I thought I saw was upside down!! That scared me more than the thought of a UFO!!:rofl:

I've noticed very bright 'star' (planet) with the croissant moon last night and tonight; will check it out.

I've been thinking about it all day today, and doubting what I actually saw. I know I saw something out of the ordinary, and was not hallucinating, but I just wish I had stayed at the window long enough to see what became of it, or how it left. Ya know what I mean?? Stupid me has to go running all over the house trying to prove to myself whether or not it was the moon I was seeing!!!:banghead: JA ( P.S.:pals: )
