Warming cold feet with Japanese train tickets

Oh, how I wish we could get this link here, but your computer has to be set to get Japanese language or some such thing.

Anyway, I got into a conversation about health things with a Japanese couple (my daughter translated). I guess that is because all the flu stuff came out while I was there, and I think they wanted me to wear a mask on the airplane. Japanese wear white cloth masks to keep from getting sick, A LOT. The man claimed it kept the nose moist and thus the environment for viruses wasn't good.

I was telling them that in the airplane I sprayed colloidal silver up my nose, and saline, etc. etc. so that started the subject on silver and copper.

Then she told me about this story--which was on Japanese television. I saw the video on my daughter's computer, but can't get it here. It was in Japanese but it would still be worth watching.

It was all about keeping your feet warm by taping Japanese train tickets to the acupuncture point Spleen 6 San Yin Jiao



Why Japanese train tickets? Well, it being a modern system and all, there is a magnetic strip on the back of them. Only the ones with the magnetic strip work. So, the television station did a mini study on this using temperature controlled rooms and thermography, and presented the results in the newscast. They would have people sit in cold rooms, and then come into a warmer room, and measure how long it took their feet to warm up, both with and without the train ticket taped to their legs. I think they even had a nonmagnetized train ticket as a control. LOL, as a sort of tongue in cheek add on, they compared train tickets to different destinations. It seems that only the magnetic strip made a difference, not the destination.

I just thought it was a very cool story to see on Japanese TV! Without a link I dare not post in Health. I'd love to have that thing with subtitles in English.
