Tell me this is safe...

I just said "yes" to a landscaper who quoted a good price for a LOT of yardwork (and has already gotten the thumbs up for work he did for my mom and my aunt). He won't be starting for a couple of weeks--after Mercury goes direct. Anything perilous about this setup? Perhaps exactly when I sign the contract (if he requires a formal signature before starting)? I don't want this to go kablooey.

If I were you, I'd make sure that nothing has changed in the intervening weeks. You may remember things differently, especially if its a lot of work. Confirm the terms and expectations (no add-ons, etc.), and list the specifics in writing. In the meantime, don't be surprised if the schedule gets adjusted or communications get scrambled. Double-checking details before work starts is a great suggestion. (The diciest thing right now is the landscaper's start time--he's busy, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets delayed.)
