apricot tree
Yesterday I posted about my apricot tree: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

I uploaded a before and after shot for comparison or other advice. The "before" wasn't quite entirely "before", as she had started to cut the one main limb we decided had to go. It was a nice branch but just too straight up and NOT connected well at all. If (when) it broke it probably would have peeled bark down the trunk all the way to dirt. This tree REALLY wants to grow straight up and I knew it needed something. I am fairly happy as it was mostly subtle thinning. Can you even tell?

PS I know it looks like those two main branches cross each other but it is mostly the camera angle. There were four of them and three started out almost in the same plane, if that makes any sense. We took one off and the other two actually make a kind of half twist away from each other. Don't buy trees on sale at the small town discount store:eyes:
