1. I ordered from a seed catalog last week.
Feels good to have those 2009 seeds in the house.

2. We got our Burpee Catalog on Christmas Eve.
Joy to the World!

Looking through Burpee reminds me of childhood in the 50s.
My brothers and I would thumb through the Sears Catalog Toy Section with unrestrained glee.
Now Starkraven and myself do the same with the seed catalogs.

We probably won't order much (if anything) from Burpee.
We will be using Seed Savers and another heirloom seed site in Arkansas.

3. I've been thinking about Seed Savers, too.

What's the site in AR you're looking at? We won't need too much because we saved quite a few seeds of our own. But you know how it goes once you start looking. :eyes:

5. Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds
I think they're in the Ozarks. They have a beautiful catalog.
I'll have to go to the Burpee website to make sure I get one of theirs. My Mom always had one laying around the house when we were kids.

I was wondering what the place Bvar was ordering from in Arkansas since it;s right next door to Oklahoma.

8. Hi.
This is the site in Arkansas.

http://www.heirloomseedshop.com/

I haven't checked them out in person yet.
They were a "recommend" from a local organic farmer.

10. We call it garden porn around here. I have a nice big stack of them already!
We ALWAYS order from rareseeds.com and usually pick up a few new things from Le Jardin du Gourmet - artisticgardens.com. And we usually order a few things from one or two others each year.

I like the fact that Le Jardin has small sample packs. We have a tiny garden and it lets us test out lots of new things without a big investment.
