Anyone ever grow lobelia from seed?

The seeds are like microsopic dust! How did you plant them? I bought a packet today and some peat pellets. But how do I even get them into the pellets?

2. Specifically, Lobelia erinus "Crystal Palace"

which provides mounds of vibrant blue flowers, great for flower beds and edging. I have also read that the seeds require light to germinate.

Just prepare your peat pots (or whatever you are going to use)

I use bagged soil on the bottom of the cup then seed starter mix on top

open envelope and pour into palm then just give each pot a pinch...

and yeah, they are tiny.... come up pretty fast.... oh, and water from the

bottom - they wash away pretty easily.... keep them moist for a week with

not toooo much sun - so they don't dry out, then when they get big enough

just tuck 'em where you want 'em.! Easy !

6. Vigorously mix up a few dozen seeds into a gallon of compost

Then trench a furrow in your garden and lay the seed-compost mix along the furrow for several feet. Then you will be assured of distributing the seeds evenly.

Gardeners do that with tiny carrot seeds.

7. Mine are coming up fine -- I was very approximate about it!

just took a "pinch" of seeds every few inches, they are coming up though!

8. PS I have heard some people mix very fine seeds with sand in a salt shaker
