Please don't hate me -

My neighbor who hunts our property runs a tree trimming service. After my tentative inquiry, he told me I could have all the shredded wood chips i want, any time i want.

Did i mention i have a coop full of chicken manure to compost as well?

My nephew who works for a tree trimmer says that the boss LOVES people who'll take the chips. Saves them money.

Most years I can get a load or two of chips when someone on the block is having tree work done.

'Cuz I got a nice load of free Trex decking. I used it to build raised beds. Now I need not fix my aging pine board raised beds that I built when I moved here 12 years ago. They were all rotting and falling apart.

The raised beds are all built and we had enough to put up a deck up the mountain and look down on all the gardens. The same nice person also gave me two outdoor rocking chairs, contemporary style, with padded seats. It's heaven, enjoying all this free stuff.

4. If it was particle board or anything else with glues of finishes,

I would agree. This is just wood chips from tree trimmings.
