Windowsill Basil
I think my plant is systematically dying.

Brown "trunks" and green branches and leaves.

Can you cut the sprigs and either replant them or put them in water to grow roots?

Or should I just buy a new plant altogether?

1. How old is the plant?
I've kept basil alive indoors over winter, but I've never had it last more than a year. Also, what variety is is?

2. I had one go 2 years,
But, at that point its so woody its having trouble feeding new starts, clipped everything off and rooted them in water and off they go.
