1. Chocolate Mint Cake
Your post reminded me of a recipe I discovered many years and many hard drives ago, so I did a search on my system for it. Couldn't find it, of course.

Googled it, and I believe this is it, as i remember the buttermilk as an ingredient. This is a wonderful cake, especially when you get the frosting on it.

2. you can't have a chocolate garden without this......

that's cacao, the seeds of this fruit are used to make chocolate. i've got a couple acres of it. the monkeys usually get it all as soon as it ripens so i rarely get any of the ripe fruit.

i've also got a little bit of vanilla growing but it hasn't produced any vanilla bean yet. vanilla is actually an orchid and the vanilla bean is the seed pod it produces.

3. One of these days I'll plant Berlandia.
I do have chocolate mint and the fragrance is wonderful. The mint sprigs are good with ice cream or in yogurt. I'm not much of a chocolate eater but I love the aroma.
