The Huffington Post delves deeper into the woo
Interesting stuff I just stumbled across, ignore if it's old news.

Note to Lurking Woo "Disrespect" Patrols: my Subject line is the title of the article.

Posted on: March 27, 2009 9:00 AM, by Orac

Since its very inception, the Huffington Post has been a hotbed of antivaccine lunacy.

Shortly after that, antivaccine woo-meisters like David Kirby, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Kimg Stagliano, and, apparently, one of the editors (Special Projects Editor Rachel Sklar) were joined by all-purpose woo-meisters like Deepak Chopra.

True, for a brief period of time there appeared to be an occasional voice for vaccines on HuffPo, but they never lasted. After all, RFK, Jr.'s been there nearly four years now and David Kirby almost as long, while pro-vaccine commentary pops up briefly, gets shouted down by the woo-loving antivaccinationists who frequent the comments sections of posts, swooping down like Cyber Sisters (and Brothers) to drive them from the blog.

3. Hell, on DU "BradBlog" is like the NYT.
The ability to distinguish shit from Shinola is difficult for a certain subsection of our forum-mates.

4. it's just like the Chavez worship
or the Ron Paul love. Too many of us will accept anything that goes against our enemies, without understanding all the issues.

I, for one, am MORE suspicious of things I agree with.

2. Woo sells..Science is too hard. Especially on a blog that is dedicated to ..
Short pieces of News..I never see anything particularly ind depth there. Therefore a piece explaining why Saint Kennedy is an idiot would not help...
Oh BTW, rofl at "the lurking woo disrespect patrols"!!! New tactic..read this group and then post something extremely wooish in another forum in GD...I posted something about how the H1N1-A vaccine was being worked on..and not long after that, a GD post with "deadly vaccines" wrt to swine flu was posted...
