I ran into an epic Wiccan woo fail at work yesterday involving the 2005 hurricane season.
I was sorting through the book donations and one of them was a "witches' almanac" for 2005 and there was a section with Farmers-Almanac-style "predictions" for the weather that year. the "forecast" for August and September predicted a BELOW AVERAGE number of tropical storms and hurricanes in the Atlantic. 2005 was the year when we had so many tropical systems we had to use Greek letters.

ROFLMAO!!!

1. heh
speaking of Farmer's Almanacs, has anyone ever gone back and double checked their accuracy?

I know the Skeptical Inquirer used to do annual checks of psychics' predictions that were always hilarious.

2. It would be fun to run accuracy of different weather Almanacs. Hell of a project, though. /nt
