Half-Life 2!
It's gonna be released on November 16! I can't wait! I became a junkie with the first Half-Life. Mostly because of Team Fortress.

1. I was a huge Team Fortress lover.
Recently, I checked out servers with the All-Seeing Eye and there were almost none. My current system won't run Half-Life 2, so I guess I'll have to wait. :(

You know, it's strange, but I learned about the attack on the WTC while playing TFC. One of the gamers said that planes had flown into the World Trade Center. I thought they were kidding, trying to get people to get up from the game and turn on their televisions. When I turned mine on, I saw the second tower collapse, live. It didn't seem real until much later.

2. I used to play TF when it was a Quake Mod!
I was in one of the original TF clans, VoV--Vanguard of Vengeance. Ahh, the good ol' days, when you could play on-line games over a 28K modem. :) I remember how ecstatic I was when I finally upgraded to 56K and I could actually hit someone long-distance with the rail gun :)

6. I played it a few times as a Quake Mod, too. :)
Geez.

My original love was Descent.

3. Are you getting the standard version or the CE?
They re-did Half-Life using the Source engine for the Collector's Edition, and the whole thing comes on one convenient DVD.

The Strategy Guide was at Best Buy yesterday, and I started leafing through it. It took a hell of a lot of willpower to put the book down and walk away from the shelf. The small pieces of info I was able to glimpse tells me the game will be freaking amazing. Tuesday can't come fast enough.

4. I'll go with the CE if it's not too expensive.

5. Well, it is $80 bucks.
It's pricey, but I kinda want the Half-Life remake. And the t-shirt.
Cripes, I'm geeking out here.

8. Ok, I have ordered the Special Edition
Won't arrive until early December, which is fine by me - I have some work to do.

Strangely enough, it will cost only about €15 more.
