Age of Empires 3 Demo is out

Has anyone played it yet? I'm going to install it when I get home from work today. I can't wait for the relase. The graphics look mind blowing. Anyone else salivating over AOE3?

I just played through a bunch of them this year. I need a break.

It should be good, though. I've heard that they're going to try something different. What's gonna be different...I'm not sure. Hopefully it will be really good, though.

2. Initial impression is good but not groundbreaking.

The graphics are stunning if you turn on everything but performance is awful on my 6600GT video card. I have to turn off shading and a few other switches to get it run well. The biggest gripe I have is the size of the interface.. it takes 1/3 of the screen! The AI definitely needs a kick in the pants. My hope is they delay the release to fix all the bugs and get the AI right... and hope to god they let you minimize the interface.
