Does anyone have Civilization 4?
What do you think of the menu screen music?

Here are the lyrics, and a link to the song itself; you can also get the song by downloading the demo and looking in Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Demo\Assets\Sounds\Soundtrack. The filename (if you obtain it that way) is OpeningMenu.mp3.

BABA YETU

Baba yetu, Yetu uliye
Mbinguni yetu, Yetu, amina!
Baba yetu, Yetu, uliye
Jina lako litukuzwe.
(x2)

Utupe leo chakula chetu
Tunachohitaji utusamehe
Makosa yetu, hey!
Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe
Waliotukosea usitutie
Katika majaribu, lakini
Utuokoe, na yule, milelea milele!

CHORUS

Ufalme wako ufike utakalo
Lifanyike duniani kama mbinguni. (Amina)

CHORUS

Utupe leo chakula chetu
Tunachohitaji utusamehe
Makosa yetu, hey!
Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe
Waliotukosea usitutie
Katika majaribu, lakini
Utuokoe, na yule, simama mwehu

Baba yetu, Yetu, uliye
Jina lako litukuzwe.
(x2)

Go to http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=123680; a link to download the menu screen track should be on the very first post on the page. I'm certain, from reading all nine pages of the linked thread, that both the composer and Firaxis are well aware of people downloading the track there, and neither seems to have any objection at all, considering the site is linked to from Firaxis' own site, and this post has been there since July.

The language is Swahili, a translation of The Lord's Prayer. It's well worth a listen.

2. The theme song is perfect for the game.

It's great when they show that intro with that music playing - very beautiful.
